I believe some older arcade games are good choices to TAS. Donkey Kong/ Crazy Kong. these games have an annoying amount of randomness that it would be entertaining to manipulate away on the quest to the kill screen on LVL 22. Also you could try to smash score attack records. :) Sega Tetris. (use the bootleg rom because it lets you reset faster to change the randomizer) what's the ideal piece sequence to max out the game asap? :) You can select it pretty fast.... Bloxeed. Luck manipulation and frame perfect gameplay can go a long way here. Will be a fast and furious TAS. Tower of Druaga. Just what is truly required to beat it under TAS conditions? Pac Man. can tas precision improve significantly on good humanly possible patterns? If so it might be fun to watch. Battle Garegga. you can jack the difficulty to an INSANE level in this game through you own input. Do that, then still beat it. ;) would be fun to watch. Joust. the person WITH the pterodactyl bug fixed. how fast can you max the score counter? Try to abuse the pterodactyls after the bug letting you cheat with them was fixed. :) Double Dragon: How well can you manage LAG? :)

fatal fury 1 and fatal fury 3(this game has many infinite combo characters),if the emulator could stop doing guru meditations and runtime errors at loading and frame advancing,i'd do it myself.
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Still waiting on bloxeed. here's a decent RTA superplay to give you an idea on what tricks you need to max it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5gA1DMn2Dg&t=18s The slow play speed for much of the tas before level 15 is to manipulate the powerups, which are different depending on which pieces get them. It's clearly improvable under TAS conditions (get more flickys, get more bravos at 10x points), and can probably be maxed out sub 10 minutes. i recommend using the japanese rom though, because it allows every frame autofire by alternating two rotation buttons, as opposed to that version, which only provides 1 button, allowing firing every other frame.

Metal Slug 6 is Atomiswave, instead of Neo Geo.

Recently there's been a lot of competitive play on the arcade version of Street Fighter: The Movie game. There's been so much wacky tech found for that game that it'd be interesting to see what playaround tech can be done. As much as I'd want to try it myself I'm not versed in either comedy or actually playing fighting games. Here's some of the amusing tech seen in a recent tournament: https://twitter.com/superloreboys/status/1516755017457291264

Haunted Castle - brutally hard Castlevania game. Would love to see it TAS'd Heated Barrel - sidescrolling shooter. Realky underrated in my opinion. Only bad point is the horrible depiction of Native Americans

Ninja Kazan, slow paced ninja game, I found two large skips, one in Stage 2 and one in Stage 4. I assume a TAS would skip any weapon upgrades so the boss fights would be a little harder, but pretty much the same route besides that. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aGwWf05lCc

The Astyanax, I think the only main routing consideration is when to pick up the lightning (full screen attack) for clearing out enemies, some screens will not progress until enemies are cleared. I believe a fully charged axe attack does 3 damage, and you can do many more single attack hits in that time, so it's only really worth getting a full charge to occasionally kill regular enemies. GunForce, an IREM run n gun. Short run with a few different weapons. I think a TAS would probably keep one of the stronger weapons and just mash on all the bosses. Levels themselves are not very complex. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB6OlhtQo24

Bay Route, a Sunsoft run n gun. Pretty similar to Contra but with Ninja Spirit style weapon swapping, you can switch at any time and power up each individually. Enemy spawns seem to be pretty consistent and powerup drops are mostly consistent, but I think they can probably be manip-ed. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blSZh_RF8Jc

Bay Route already has a 2 player publication but I can see someone wanting to see a solo run. [2332] Arcade Bay Route "2 players" by NitroGenesis in 10:31.72

Nice, I missed there was a 2 player one. Avenging Spirit/Phantasm. There's a TAS of the GB port, but I don't see one for the Arcade original. Stage layouts are pretty similar but the major difference is that you can't leave a body whenever you want, you have to make the character you're in die before you can be a ghost again. Route seems pretty solid but I wouldn't be surprised to see improvements. Mainly I think grabbing a Vampire in Stage 3 may be theoretically faster, since he moves faster in the air. Also noticed you can shoot faster by canceling the slight cool down by ducking after shooting, I managed to 1 cycle the Stage 4 boss like that. Bad Ending RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G3euu3_8q8 Good Ending RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_cp8U_srik A clip showing Down canceling. Firing a weapon then mashing Down cause the bullets to come out really fast. If you are next to a boss, you never reach the bullet limit (4 on screen for laser guy) so you can one cycle the Stage 4 boss. Would probably be useful on other bosses as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2RLFzskZAk

Cyber-Lip on Neo Geo, mostly autoscrolling run n gun. Probably wouldn't be the most interesting TAS without a lot of playing around, but I'll mention anything that doesn't have one yet. Some major RNG in the run for RTA, there are four in between level elevators, and each has a 50% chance of taking you to an interim sewer level, before the actual next level, and this costs at least 50 secs if it happens. Also the final boss can appear in a number of different doors on the final level, from messing around it appears to be seeded from when you skip the cutscene before, and you can have it appear in the first available door, as I get in my run. Nightmare in the Dark on Neo Geo, sorta horror Snow Bros style game. Pretty short, only 25 levels, including 5 bosses. Mainly just need to get the potions as soon as possible. It's also possible to clip thru slopes and also have the fireball clip thru, might be useful on some levels. Definitely quite a bit of RNG, seems most enemies can do lots of different things once they spawn, and bosses have RNG with movement and giving enemies to use against them. It would be great to see a MK1 glitchfest. There is a lot of stuff in youtube by Parallax and I wonder what looking into the game's memory could reveal. There's something that already looks like ACE when you perform a sequence of inputs against Shang Tsung while playing as Raiden so you make the AI to perform Sonya's Fatality mid fight. There's also the Cage's 3 heads fatality glitch that could be figured out. The 2 heads fatality is something very common, but for 3 heads you need a very rare glitch that delays the announcement of the winner, making the message "Cage Wins" to also be delayed, what gives extra time for a 3rd fatality to be performed. The trick here is to figure out what causes the delay to happen.

Jackal, similar to the NES version, but also quite different. There are no individual stages, it's all one long screen with only a final boss building. There's quite a bit of lag in spots. There is seemingly a bug with the camera, if you are at the edge of the screen and move diagonally towards it, the camera will not scroll. You can use this to get to the very top of the screen to get past certain enemies, and you can see me do it a few times in my run. Dying downgrades your missile by 1 and respawning lets you drive over any obstacles for a handful of seconds. I used this twice in my run, mostly for consistency.
