Agreed. Lord of the Sword is pretty unknown even for a Master System game, but it's a super underrated hidden gem for the console. The TAS is insanely well optimized and there are heaps of interesting glitches, while still remaining comprehensible to watch.

Great pick indeed, reading the text of the first submission proves that this run is amazing. Starred.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

First off, King’s Bounty has an entertainment rating of 6.2, which is not even close to what stars usually get. It also is so incredibly short to the point where you cant even tell what happened, and not in a “how did they do that cool trick” way, I mean a “I couldn’t see what happened at all” way.
Second, the Harmony of Dissonance tas you linked barely shows any content of the game, and while that movie has an entertainment rating of 8, the “all furniture, best ending” tas has 8.8, which is way higher and shows off more game content. THAT should get starred instead of a 22 second movie that no one is going to understand. Not only that but the other GBA Castlevania game that is already starred and recommend for newcomers is right now the highest in entertainment rating on the site, there is no way a 22 second movie is going to replace that star and reccomended teir.

Why was GTA2 starred before anyone could suggest it for that here?
I know that there was one person who suggested it in the discussion thread but I still would feel better if more people agreed that it was star worthy.

For the record, I have no issue with this movie being starred if people truly wanted it, but you really haven’t given them a chance to suggest it.

After having watched it myself, the run seems very repetitive, using a single glitch over and over to win quickly. It was also very difficult for me to comprehend, I only vaguely got it by looking at the submission notes. I definitely feel more time should be taken to properly assess this run.

It only became 6.9 after you lowered your own rating (it was 6 before, then changed to 5). It's pretty dishonest to talk about dropping ratings when you're doing that by yourself.

<adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.
I lowered my ranking after watching the movie a few times. I did not lower my own rating because I wanted to drop the overall rating, i did it because I had different views on it.
Im really sadded that you would think I’d lower it just to achieve this.

That makes me want to wait longer for more rates.

After a bit of thought and consideration, I realize how inappropriate it is to bring up average rating since I am a part of it.
Im sorry.

Yeah, for the record, while I don't even watch that many TASes, I was really surprised this was given a star, for the same reason Memory outlined: The run is definitely a bit of a one-trick pony. There's lots of yes-votes but I'm sure you guys get this is liable to happen with such a popular game series.
I mean just to find some comparison, there was that Bisqwit Star Control II TAS several years back that you didn't even want to publish at all (I think that's when the vault tier came along) because it was mostly riding around the cosmos on a space ship. Well, because all the traffic and even pedestrians have been RNG manipulated off, this TAS is also mostly riding around a city in a car.
What am I missing? A 100% TAS of this game will probably be much more likely to deserve moon or star tier.
Even watching the encode that gets rid of the long loading screens, its just a car driving around occasionally punctuated by rather irritating 'execution' screens. I'm not familiar with the game, it just looks rather bland to me.
It's not just this game though, the star tier in general seems to have lost it's luster. It seems like something we do just out of inertia / habit. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

7 rates against 75, I'd ask for more enthusiasm.

I've checked, and overall it looks fine to me. But perhaps certain games or series are overrepresented (e.g. there are several Mario games with two starred runs per game).

I saw a run from AGDQ 2018 for "The Addams Family" and noticed that the TAS for the same category seems to go way beyond, what humans can do. If you compare this category with RTA runs, you will see that this TAS cuts down the time in half. There is so much happening at once during this movie that it is beyond human capabilities, and as a result it presents a very entertaining run. Wouldn't this be a good candidate for "Stars"?

I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence.
