Interesting.
Update for WIP using the 'CUP' sequence: I manipulated all the die rolls to be 6 on the first possible frame. I saved a whopping 3 frames total. Current run-time is 6099 frames.

I decided to put my faith in the "TWINS" sequence. Here's my TAS:

I managed to save 6 seconds from my old movie, mostly due to this better word sequence. I also found a faster way to die in the box stacking game, as well as manipulate a faster frame for the firefighter one. The first frame dice roll thing probably didn't help much, but hey, it's still good to do it.
I might submit this.
Btw, the scene in the thumbnail was an unintentionally hilarious message that I got :D
Nice run. I do have a couple of questions:
1) It looks like you slow down on the last letter of TWINS and LEFT, even though it's possible to pick a letter at full speed. You don't slow down on SWAN or COMEDY. Why the difference?
2) Why do you overrun the "P" in LIP?
I'm guessing on this answer based on my own work on the game.
Due to the frame rule from the end of a puzzle to the next die roll; delaying a final letter's input allows for a 1st frame die roll of 6 without sacrificing total frames. So it can appear 'sloppy' but it has a purpose.
On an unrelated note. Spikestuff's April Fool's submission was rejected on the grounds of this game being a board game and thus not vault eligible. Even in the judgement the statement was made that the arcade sequences wouldn't change this perspective because they can be skipped.
I think any submission of this game is going to be fighting a major uphill battle to be considered for publication on the site.

I'm going to have to suggest possibly actually doing the minigames, rather than deliberately failing... which sadly makes it more boring to a user's perspective.
Seriously best of luck trying to get this one through. The work behind it is notable just now there may be a definitive way explained in the rejection to follow.

DrD2k9 is exactly right. It looks sloppy, but it's worth it for those sweet, sweet first-framers. Even on the ones where it looks like I don't waste time, I actually do; notice how early I let go of right for SWAN. It's a 128 frame rule there, so in some cases, you could waste two whole seconds and still lose no time!
I just looked at your submission, Spikestuff. Seems oddly familiar... :p
Masterjun's comments definitely don't bode well for us, but he did say this:
I have high hopes that people will consider it a video game if we don't skip the video game parts!
I do have plans for a deathless TAS. But oh man...have you tried doing the fireman game??? It's barely possible to complete the image, let alone save all the innocent lives!! I have a WIP right now where I barely save enough clones to reveal the image (48), but the time runs out before the guy hits the square. I'm sure there's some frame where we could make it work; then we could rebrand the run as a "minimal damage" run, or something like that.
Btw, how do submissions work here? Do I sbumit things for vault or moons, or do I just hit submit and let the judges decide where it should (or shouldn't) go?

If you do this, your run no longer is eligible for the Vault. And in any case, the game genre classification is determined by what the game offers as a whole, not just what one run does with it. So, the game was deemed to be of an unsuitable genre for the Vault, so your best bet for this game is to have a movie that's sufficiently entertaining to qualify for Moons (if possible).
You hit submit and the judge decides where it goes.

<Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits
<adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

You don't suppose doing the minigames could be considered a goal or category? "Contains speed/entertainment tradeoffs," maybe?
Don't get me wrong, I'd be thrilled to see this run published in any tier! I'm just curious when something stops being a category/goal and starts being trivial and stupid.
Speed/Entertainment trade-offs are typically intentional time losses to add entertainment value to a run. The mini-games of Pictionary are perfect examples. The big question is 'Are they entertaining enough?'
As this game isn't vault eligible anyway (because board games as a genre are considered trivial), the 'speed/entertainment trade-off' tag is moot. Entertainment must be the primary goal; speed becomes a secondary means of attaining the entertainment goal.
The only hope a run of this game has of being published is attaining a high enough entertainment response from the forum voting/comments. Whether or not this is even possible can only be determined by submitting and letting the whims of the community decide.
Doing anything with the mini-games may garner a more positive response than outright skipping them, but I doubt the choice between failing or completing them will make much difference in the overall opinion/voting.
In regular mode, is it still possible to skip the arcade games? If not, then you may still have a case for vault. If so, your only hope is moons, which you can't know until you submit.
Either way, I say go for it and be proud that you've made something to submit here! I'm sure you'll find another game to make and will do a great job at it.

Finally found the time to submit this thing! My submission text is pretty long for such a short movie, but I think I made a pretty convincing case for it.
@warmCabin
I'm not sure putting effort into a "100%" run is worth your time.
Firstly, I doubt there will be an agreeable consensus on what constitutes 100% for this game.
Secondly, I strongly doubt that enough entertainment will be added via actually completing the mini-games for a judge to take a different perspective than what Mothrayas already has with your rejected run.
Thirdly, as a run that actually completes the mini-games won't be that much different visually to a watcher than the rejected run. It would basically just add piecing together the pictures. It will also be longer, making it that much harder to get the required entertainment value.
To put it simply, this game's only hope to be published is if it garners significant entertainment feedback (not just votes) that qualify it for moon tier. It's not vault eligible regardless of voting or completion percent. Neither rejected run qualified for moons based on feedback. For the reasons mentioned above, a run that completes the mini-games probably won't fare much better.

You're absolutely right. However, curiosity (and a strong urge to do anything but study for finals) got the better of me, so I threw this thing together:

It's not entirely devoid of merit, but 48 squares really is a lot...you have to make 12 identical trips in the box stacking one, and the fireman one will probably put you to sleep (even if the RNG is god-tier). I wanted to make a no-damage run, but if you've ever played the fireman game, you probably know that I've come as close as anyone will ever get, at 2 lives lost.
Even if it's not submittable, at least we know what it looks like to be good at Pictionary!
Beyond this, I have one idea involving the drawing mode, but it involves actually being good at drawing...

Wanted to post my art% proof of concept. The drawing system is super clunky and limited, so I think it's really fun to watch the little cursor draw out decent-looking art with cold and calculated precision. With a good artist or community submissions or something, I think this could be a fun little freerun.
I was also toying with the idea of making a narrative where Potato Brains are shit artists (played by me in real time), but it just isn't the same when you can't hear the offending artist justifying his incomprehensible strokes :/
