It's faster to select Toad than Mario because Toad has closer to the edge of the screen. They are identical in the levels.

Cool hack, but the ghost houses look pretty bad. Some segments have no background detail and the ghosts don't look that good. Also why doesn't World 1 use SMB1 graphics?

I've done till world 1-ghost. But I found that encounter level could open the road after ghosthouse from pikachuman's run. And it saves much more time than normal ghosthouse run. So I deleted that level's run and starts to record 1-3.(I don't wanna use a death to manipulate encounter's position on the map like his run...) But it seems that penguin form is faster. When that idea come up, I stop recording and don't want to continue... It's tooooooo complex! Here's the movie. Just have a rest for this game now... Note: Used Mario, Because he's my favorite character. Also, can't the first encounter enemy move to the left? I tried some times but all failed. Why? And following are some addresses:

I can pretty much tell from how the audio in the dump turned out that you used FCEU instead of FCEUX. or at least a version of FCEU that has this issue.

That happens in FCEUX as well, at least if you use turbo instead of regular speedup while dumping.

A TAS of this game is in progress. Currently, we are in World 3, and at the moment, the TAS is over two minutes ahead of the current RTA record of 1:02:34 by JabemX. I may decide to post updates periodically on this project.

For any% it's possible to get under 1 hour in both RTA and TAS. For 100% it's possible to get under 3 hours in RTA and around 2 hours 15 minutes in TAS. It's not required to defeat all enemies on the map, but enough to get the necessary items.
