I don't have enough time on my hands right now to dedicate myself to a TAS, so if anyone wants to pick this run up, go ahead. If not, I'll get back to it during the summer maybe.

That's sad:(. I would actually love to TAS this game, but I got so many other Speedrun Projects at the moment so I don't know if I want to take the challenge.... Don't think I got the skill and patience to make on either. Oh well, hopefully Chef_Stef is working on OoA instead:).

I own these games but have never really played them. I found them recently while cleaning and thought I'd start them up, time willing. With that said, there is something I've been confused about for years now. I skimmed this thread and some FAQs are GameFAQs. Maybe someone here can clarify things for me. How many unique ENDINGS are there? 4? 1) Ages, non-linked. 2) Seasons, non-linked. 3) Ages, linked. 4) Seasons, linked.

The Ages and Seasons endings are 1 each; but the linked end is the same on either end AFAIK.

Though the two linked endings are quite similar, they are slightly different. Not trying to spoil anything, there is a different Maku Tree in each linked ending.

Also a changed picture (As in picture like the one at the start of the game when waching Din dance/Nayru sing). Probably a slight change in dialogue also on acount of the Oracles. Again minor things. So yeah, your really not missing out on anything by not finishing both linked games, in regard to the endings at least.

O goody. Here's my plan. I'm going to play up to a certain point just to see how well Vespa optimized what he got so far. And if his run is good enough, I'll continue where he left off. One thing that does worry me is that he says luck manipulation is very difficult in this game.

Where did he say anything about doing a linked run? I think you shall start with a normal run first anyway. I agree that the luck manipulation is very hard. That's the main reason why haven't started this tas. Hope that wont make you quit or something=). Ok, you can at least post when you are at the first dungeon and so, I may find something that could be done a little faster. But as I didn't find that many mistakes in Vespa's run you may improve everything yourself.

You don't have to worry about me quitting. Barring death or unfortunate events, as long as I get enough positive support I will continue until done. I'll post a WIP once I get past the first dungeon.

Have a small timesaver for dungeon 2. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2549/Timesaver.vbm I think it is possible to only be damaged twice, but I haven't done it... Just manipulate enemies to drop some hearts for you without losing time and this wont be a problem:).

I want to explain right now that I'm not currently working on the TAS for OoA. The video I posted was sort of a demonstration for theenglishman as to where his WIP could be improved. I apoligize if I was misleading as to my intentions towards this run.

Oh, never saw your last WIP, Vespa. At least I can't remember it...=) Looked good, and yes, your way is faster. Don't see many things that could be improved for dezbeast. 1. Make so you don't need to slash the sword to avoid winter, as you have done before. 2. Manipulate some enemies to walk better, like the rope in dungeon 2 that you killed with the ember seed. 3. Not sure about this one: But can you manipulate the bushes near the key with the many bomb places to drop a bomb...? That would save a second. 4. The bat was in your way:)...

That's because I didn't post it until now :) Yeah, dezbeast has a lot more patience then me so maybe he'll be able to figure out how to manipulate all that stuff. I don't think the bushes near the bomb room drop bombs, but I didn't check. I know that the corner ones always drop hearts.

There's a couple of things I discovered about Seasons. First and probably most importantly, it seems that enemy positions and behavior is determined 3 screens prior. So far I successfully manipulated ideal enemy behavior in 2 rooms by hex editing 3 rooms prior. So hopefully it's the same way through the whole game. Second, I discovered a way to walk over pits. So far I'm 970 frames ahead of Vespa's WIP up to the sword, so I'm continuing on with what I have.

I agree with Yautja, NICE! I have been trying this, but I didn't make it so I didn't think it was possible... How did you do? Well done anyway, this is going to be an interesting run indeed! Beat the shit of my run!!
