iirc there was a toggle for loading times. Or did you meant you used the same settings for loading and it still desync?

Just passed 1 hour in-game time! Right now I'm at the 100 Jabbi fight with a 100 second improvement over my old run so far!

That's great. I have to admit my favorite part so far was the movement in Hooktail's Castle when you activate the switch with Koops and walk in paper mode and immediately when you gain control of Mario again you are able to jump into the window. That sequence overall was just so perfect.

I've got some ideas I need to test. Dark Bones timesaver like Red Bones, showstopper on bowser and kammy instead of power bounces, and a new flurrie super slide to maybe skip paying Gus (if it saves time)

I touch the Chapter 2 Crystal Star at 1:10:26.7, for an overall savings of 2:14.683, and a Chapter 2 savings of 38.7 seconds. Get hype for Ultra Hammer Early. Working on the intermission, which includes Mega Rush and Power Rush RNG, UHE, and getting some items for CH3.

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing the Chapter 2 skips optimized and used in the TAS.

Chapter 2 times: http://puu.sh/cqRmZ/fcbf47718e.png UHE costs 40.5 seconds up front, which leaves with a Chapter improvement of 9 seconds about. But, this saves a LOT of time later on :D Oh I can't wait to see this full speed.

Either an invisble block, or that minor wall you circled may be walkable OoB. Needs checking though.
So...what happens if you tried goombella buffering there? Also, dark bones timesaver? Is this a new trick or you managed to apply the early battle onto it?

1. The area around the loading zone is solid. I can't get oob. 2. It doesn't work. I was trying to replicate what I did in the Red Bones battle. EDIT: CHAPTER 2 ENCODE! Link to video[/video]

The idea of adding commentary is great like seen in the comments. I will never forget the struggle of getting a shooting star in the first Shadow Sirens battle in my segmented run.

I'll most likely make a commentated video when the whole run is completed, and I'll make sure to talk more and act more interesting haha

Beautiful TAS Malleo! But just a question it is not possible to use this glitch? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WX6uGGL908

Flurrie superslides work differently in the Japanese version of the game. Therefore, UHE only works in Japanese, and that timesaver you linked only works in English. English - Superslide Left and Right Japanese - Superslide Down

Great work so far with the TAS. It's unfortunate that the graphical Puni glitch is still there, but I'm used to worse things from N64 emulation. Also, the commentary was a great idea! Can't wait for the finished run!
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

The graphical puny glitch is fixed in the latest builds of Dolphin, and probably fixed in that build with EFB2RAM, I think?

According to Malleoz , it desyncs due to different loading times, so that fix might need to be backported.

Strangely, it ends when you enter Chapter 4. Not really any reason. So you'll hear it throughout Chapter 3 though
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

I found two potential timesavers in Boggly Woods. 1) On the screen with Flurrie's house in the background, you can use the leftmost tree to fall OoB while in paper mode, to get paper hitbox glitch. With paper hitbox glitch it's possible to use the third tree from the left to clip through the wall to the pipe. This basically saves a small amount of movement, and could be done on both trips to Flurrie's house if it saves time. 2) After the Shadow Sirens fight, collect the necklace then go to the leftmost tree. You can once again fall OoB, this time by jumping at an ~up-left angle. (This should be faster than Goombella buffering, because you would have to switch to Goombella.) Falling OoB respawns you at the right side of the screen, and is almost certainly faster than just travelling normally. Hope these save time and have fun optimising :D

1) Why would you fall oob? Or am I misunderstanding? 2) I don't know if that could work because it takes a while to respawn, on top of a bit of movement and a transition into paper mode. I'll definitely test these, but I dislike that this was found when I'm in the middle of chapter 3 @_@
