Pretty cool! Motion looks pretty smooth. First person Zelda would be crazy if you could get the sprites to look at you, neat concept!

Yes for top down game, it should also have the option to rotate the shape.

That editor is a neat feature. How has the 3D-ification of other games progressed though? Would enjoy seeing a video about some different titles besides SMB.

Lot's of cool new features there! Those omni-directional goombas were funny. XD The fire flower looked cool! I did find the slight perspective changes when Mario changes directions pretty jarring though. Also the segmented flagpole looks kind of wrong. Other then that, awesome stuff!

You don't like that perspective change effect? Maybe it only suits top-down games like in the following clip. Auto Track And Adjustment Feature with Legend of Zelda: Link to video

Hey are you going to support recording movies to play back on the emulator afterwards?
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

So what happens when you use the 3D effect that the game already provides with 3DNES?

What do you mean by "3D effect"? In the end after every frame, 3DNes has a list of 2D shapes which are projections of 3D one. It then has to figure out what the 3D shape looks like, what its position and orientation is. If the camera projection is a "complex perspective" one like in World Runner case then we need a small script to calculate the shape position and orientation in 3D space. If you mean something like the 2d character shadow, there is a option to show/hide a given shape (the 2d shadow is a 2d shape by itself) so by disabling it we can remove the "original 3D effect".

Battles of World Runner has a built-in anaglyph stereoscopic 3D effect. It's activated by pressing 'Select' during play. It splits the video into R/L images that produces a 3D effect when viewed through cyan/red filter glasses as seen below. I was curious what the programmed anaglyph stereoscopic effect combined with the 3DNES effects would look like. Edit Side Note: I also notice that your score/info bar is on the top of the screen where on my version of BOWR it is on the bottom.

This game doesn't really split the image. In fact it produces one image for the left eye then one for the right eye frame per frame. This is an old obsolete low quality tech. I don't have the cyan/red filter glasses to check the effect 🙂. But the vr headset will produce far greater result, that's for sure and 3DNes supports VR headset. I put the bar on top with a single lua line of code 🙂
