This would be really interesting, I'm actually working on an any% speedrun for this game currently. Over all this game is pretty solid so abusing any glitches would be good (if you can find any). The levels are very straight forward. How ever the levels where you have to do individual missions to complete the level could be really interesting to see.

It's completely up to you, if you go on Twitch and look up Madagascar you should find a run that's under 1 hour by Yoshipro. I have beaten the record but didn't record it, but there are actually a few skips you can do and they're easy to pull off non-tas so with tas you should be able to pull them off more precisely and maybe even find some new ones as well.

I’m working on a TAS for this game now that Bizhawk has a special dolphin build, I’ll be able to export to dtm and have a full submission of it when I’m done. For now, here’s the first 2 levels: Link to video

Wow! I've been waiting for someone to give it a shot. The only concern I have is, if it's possible on the first ship level to knock out 2 guys with one bowling bowl throw: you throw it, it bounces off a guy, reaches an open pipe, travels through it and knocks out another guy on the other end of the pipe. So, does that mean that Dolphin core is water-boxed in Bizhawk, having less desyncs as a result?
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

That wont be necessary, because there’s a skip very early on that lets us get to the bowling ball section while the guys despawn. You can see it in the RTA runs.

It’s not waterboxed as it’s using dolphin savestates. You can find more info here: https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/23347 There’s some limitations, mostly regarding Wii. But any relevant information should be listed in that thread. Feel free to test it out.

I might mislead you with this fact, but I remember a moment in my childhood when, in the final part of Level 4, I managed to hit that angry guy with the gun during his rise animation. Maybe PC version has unlocked framerate which results in such a gap. Maybe there was some error and he decided to take the same position where he got hit.
