We have quite a few movie pages which really need descriptions filled in, especially more in recent days with vault publications. If you're an editor, please try to grab a few and fill them in. If you'd like to help out but are not an editor but have contributed to the site, please apply to be an editor. Thanks!

Given that writing a good description for a movie may entail some work, such as watching the run itself (yeah yeah, captain obvious), reading the submission text and possibly reading something about the game itself (given that there's a high possibility of it being an unfamiliar game to the editor), I wonder if it would be worth marking (somehow) the movie's page with something that says "I'm working on this" so that work wouldn't be duplicated among editors.

Well, even if multiple people are working on it, they can combine their descriptions for a better one. If you want to take your time, post in this thread you're working on one to avoid overlap. The good news is, that since this thread went up, 6 movies got nice descriptions.

Does it take a vested editor to delete a page, like this one? I don't believe I have that privilege. If I don't, could a vested editor or higher delete it? It would only take a few seconds of his or her time.

I'm more interested in why HappyLee chose to remove the text of that page. Did something happen on 2011-02-15 that caused him to do so? In any case, I'll remove the page soon. Edit: Strange. No sign of backlash or anything. Maybe he only decided not to maintain the page anymore.

The TODO in this movie's description isn't a request for an expanded description, but rather, for a new encode with a correct rerecord count. Would any encoders like to take on that task and clear the TODO? Also, is it possible to remove the TODOs from the DeletedPages? It doesn't appear that those pages can be edited, but it bothers me a little that there will always be TODO referrals there for tasks that have already been fulfilled.

I edited those pages to delink the TODOs (so those don't appear in that list). (Yes, those pages can be edited with enough privileges.)

Thanks! The Feature Requests summary page has now been updated to include all of the feature requests. Any coders who want to help implement some changes to the site can now review this handy list and maybe start working on something. The easiest task would be stickying the console wishlist threads, and it should take no time at all if someone with sufficient privileges would like to fill that need.

Done, for all the topics listed above.

Thanks to everyone's efforts, nearly all of the TODOs have been cleared from the movie descriptions! Only one remains, and it's a request for an improved encode with a correct rerecord count (and most likely HD) for Pilotwings. If anyone who can encode would be so kind as to take up that task, or can get someone else who can do it, we'd be all done with this assignment! ...well, for now, at least.

I'll do it!... what is the correct re-record amount anyway?

I feel this is something I can definitely help the site with, where should i begin?
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Great! We could use all the help we can get. You'll want to PM adelikat and ask to be an editor.

Or ask adelikat, Nach or Ilari for it in IRC
