I thought the run was no less interesting than some of the other RPGs on the site. Entertainment value has been known to fall as optimization improves, so it's likely a decent game I never played, taken to an extreme that many games on the site have been taken to before. Yes vote, because I appreciated knowing what was going. I'd say the subtitles and notes were the only thing that makes the run bearable from an entertainment standpoint, but either way, it is a well optimized run.

I was surprised by the length of the movie, but it looked refined the whole way through. I thought the choice to do the 'useless' star pickups was a good idea. Worthy of a yes vote on the whole.

I must admit, I'm probably interested in seeing a TAS for any Virtual Boy game with an ending. Along with that, this does look quite interesting. Yes vote for violently exploding pies or no violently exploding pies.

Never actually played this one, but it has a good feel to it. The lack of translation isn't really an issue in my mind. Voting yes for being entertainment, megaman style.

Yes vote for kirby games played well. Standard golf games are boring. Weird ones with tricks tend to be more interesting, and this is an example of one of the more interesting types. The power usage made the holes a cross between a golf game and a platformer.

1. I'm already thinking about this. If you want to, you can use the cheat dialog to get rid of frozen values too. 2. Double-click them to turn them off without deleting them. Works for all forms in current interims, including Forbid. Edit: Try the new interim. I got the Unfreeze All option working quite fast.

This run looks pretty interesting, and I'm sure frame perfect button mashing would make anyone wonder about the game's actual difficulty. Yes vote, because it looks well done and weird, and because there are few enough Virtual Boy games that even the bad ones could be done, and might end up being on the site just because there's only so many of them.

The main Ristar movie is quite optimized, but it generally doesn't go very far to slow the player down. This is a set of time attack levels being challenged for a speed run, and the difference shows in how things have to be executed. Yes, because it's short, and because it's different from the main game in enough ways.

Lots of neat things in this run. Zombie party members(beheaded generals), random acts of plot advancement, suicidal success in battle, getting a whole game's worth of items from 1 shopkeeper, and generally being equally impressive as confusing. Yes vote.

As has come to be expected, this Mega Man run is quite entertaining, and will get a yes vote. It's also neat how the optimum playing method changes depending on the route. I think the boss kills were the biggest surprise to me. This will go nicely with the other Mega Man runs on the site, since all of those have been kindly put out of their collective misery by various TASers.

It seemed entertaining enough. The technical difficulty about not jumping due to speed issues did tend to make it look sloppier than runs without such an issue, though. Yes vote.

From what I'm reading, the game is a fairly different type of racing game, and is a challenge. The way it's played makes it primarily look like a jump fest, but it's likely fastest to do that. Not having played the game, I can only say I've seen more entertaining racing games. This will be my first meh.

It's a speedwalk by virtue of the game mechanics, but it's well played. Even 8 minutes long, the only part that was worth skipping was the level completion screen. Weak yes vote.

I'm voting yes. It's a 100% run. I've played the game. Compared to me, it's played great. I wanted this run in 2009. Basically, even if other people don't think it's played well enough, I still say publish it. N64 runs are rare enough as it is without being picky when it comes to the games with a variety of mechanisms and play styles displayed.

The game itself isn't a bad choice for a TAS. It's not sonic the hedgehog, but not every game is designed to be. The TASing was quite sound, and was done in an entertaining way. It wasn't boring, and some of the tricks are getting familiar to me as TASing tactics, which suggests a good level of investigation into how to do a good speed run. Yes vote, because the game and the run are interesting enough.

Quattro crashed my copy, so I fixed the crash. Aside from that, it seems to work now, so I hope that's all that was going wrong. May or may not be in the interim version soon, as there's been some update troubles for the site maintainer. If the program's title contains "interim svn1784" or a higher number when you start it, it should contain the fix I put into place.

The game itself is an excellent compromise between 2D and 3D. The TASing is also noticeably thought out, and obviously done quickly too. The fact that, to an uninformed viewer, there seems to be no obvious 'next step' to take does tend to reduce the desire to skip anything. In spite of a lack of foreseeable continuity, the game remains interesting. Even lacking the most basic plot points, the main character has a bit of depth. I vote yes, and can't find any good reason why it shouldn't be on the site.

I can't say no to all the tricks used in this run. The glitches and tricks demonstrated(and explained) were very entertaining, and the youtube annotations used didn't ever tempt me to turn them off. It must have taken a hell of a long time to perfect this run, but I wouldn't call it anything less than a stunning success. I get the impression that this will be on the Recommended Movies list on the front page. I hope the encode ends up with a subtitles file that has those explanations in it. They add a lot to the run's entertainment.

snes9x-1.43-improvement13-win32.zip: http://www.bluetoaster.net/emu/all.htm One issue with this is that there's not a readily available working patch available that makes a compatible version for the TAS file. The patch I found made the game mismatch the movie's expected file info. A full game download(in a RAR file) had to be used, which kind of bites. From my view, the TASing was quite solid. The problem is that the choice in games is a bit lackluster. The amount of time spent on item collection confirmation screens borders on parody. I have to vote no on this one, but I feel compelled to say that it was played as nimbly as any of the accepted TASs I've watched.
