I thought about making a last minute decision a bunch. But ultimately, I decided not to because I wanted a long extended combo with a nice flow to it. I tried to get back some of that last moment excitement with the missing of the second hit of the first upair which was closely followed by a second hit only upair.
As for the randomness after each decision, I tried to make it as fair to the viewer as possible. When options such as "Waveland Upsmash" result in a bad combo, the reason is because that decision is suboptimal at lower percents. So while fox gets the hit off, falco DIs away and is able to become frame positive against Fox. Which is why Fox eats the punish even though he successfully got a hit off.
For each decision, I story boarded the outcomes past that point, and they all have reasons for going the way that they do. Those reasons sometimes get muddled and don't come across as clearly as I would have liked, which is something that you experienced. This style of video is new to me, and I'm still learning how to best communicate my ideas through it. So I''m glad you liked it, and thank you for the feedback. It will help me make videos that are more clear and less frustrating in the future.
Thanks Mugg. That means a lot coming from you. I'm a huge fan of your work.
I made a choose your own adventure style TAS of Super Smash Brothers Mele (found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDfOFyXGgJU). While I know that it's not appropriate for submission, is there a place for this kind of TAS on this website?
