This Strat is actually slower than just watching the cutscene, but there might be some start that has a possibility of being faster Link to video

Requesting continuance on my N64 Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest TAS that I had originally attempted to start on back in 2011, but this current m64 i'm working on was started about the beginning of 2014, and i've been putting it on and off, and so far i got 17 minutes of it done

I came close to trying this strategy after the last any% but I thought it'd be too unlikely to be faster, but if this actually does end on the same frame (and this looks greatly improvable) I may TAS this in the coming days.
Yeah, i'm more certain it's faster and what I did should definitely be improvable.

Always wanted to time this strategy, nice to see that it has indeed a chance to be faster. IIRC in any% using chus we wouldn't have a sword, would we? Would probably need a completely new timing test then.
As far as I remember, it doesn't get sword, in the beginning, you would buy 2 deku sticks and deku nuts in the kokiri shop, 1 deku stick would've been used to wess in hyrule field, the other one was for blank a to get chus. But I don't think any of this matters anymore anyways thanks to the GIM method, it's now possible on N64, but there is a certain way you got to do it, haven't looked too much into it, but nobody pulled off getting bottle in deku tree yet as far as i know of.

Looks damn amazing, I really hope you'll continue doing this ;) What I've always been wondering: When climbing the vines in deku, why do you have to drop down at first and reclimb the last section to clip to the top?
Thanks :). I'm trying my best to get this done and as optimized as i possibly can, also for the deku tree vine part, it matters how your position is to get the clip, and as far as i know, there is no other way of getting it without dropping then regrabbing the vines

Just made a quick test yesterday, for my MQ run, it's not worth doing because it's between 25 and 26 seconds slower, but if the bottle wasn't required for anything, then it would be faster for sure. So I don't know if it can be useful for anything else or not Link to video

Awesome stuff, damn :o As this is 1.0 only this can't be used in the MQ run, right?
Doing it this way is 1.0, but a video was uploaded yesterday showing another way to do it, and it works on any version: Link to video but i don't know if it's faster or not because it involves having the 50 second timer from the zora's diving game, and you have to wait for the timer to run out, i'm not sure if it's faster, but i'm still willing to try it though, and i will do that a little bit later

Great work! I look forward to see the full game TAS. For me, it's so difficult to pass the game as fast as possible and I have not much free time. I spent about 6 days on TASing Map 1 and it's not finished yet =( Here is my WIP: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/22952445841349675
I would normally be up for a new tas, but the problem is the sensitivity option, if what the sensitivity would have to be set on, i would definitely love to try this tas again, but i'm also working on another tas atm, so either way i couldn't do it now :P, but I would also look forward to anyone with at least close to frame perfect optimization and has the patience to do a tas like this.

I found a clip through the fence on Final Outpost! See here! I did this out of the blue while glitch hunting, so I'm not sure if that particular wall is glitchy, or if creating lag allowed me to skip through (similar to what you see in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark). I'll be looking for more finds!
also, this clip blew my mind lol
