If your TAS is slower, and there's legit proof that it can be optimized better rather easily, why should it be published?
Because the difference is minimal. EDIT: Here you accept the very slight errors.

Sincerely you almost fool me with the illusion of defeating the Casino Night Boss more fast, marzojr. This is only a very little faster, I do not see it as a reason for rejecting this submission immediately.

I think that understand what is happening here. You are judging more that this game hack not worth a position here in TASvideos that judging the quality of submission. If you investigate a little you will see that this run is optimal.

You don't say "foregoes time saving skips" now.

It was a fun watch (voted yes) and a "boss rush" hack of Sonic 1 & 2's battles is an interesting idea. Felipe, would you be interested in doing a 1-player run of this game in the future and eventually re-submitting? That way, you would not only have a run that's within the site rules, you would also have a very good chance of having it published.
This was what I was doing. I accept it again as a "Boss Rush", which would be more entertaining. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16823&start=17

I do not see where waste time. Remember that the intention here is to defeat all the boss. Except for Labyrinth Boss because him is not necessary him defeat by hits.

Also, if the discussion thread I vaguely recall reading is correct, you could skip some bosses but are deciding not to. Is there a reason for this? And, it's nice that you're not using the Game Genie code to enable Tails. Is not having Tails the main reason why this is slower?
The idea here is defeat each boss and I apply "skip boss" glitch because some boss is more fast defeat by the glitch. And i can't invoke Tails without use codes.

Here's another issue: this hack is just the bosses of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The bosses are the same, so there is hardly any new content here. Why should we accept such a hack, if the same bossfights are already in currently published Sonic 2 runs? The movie rules state that hacks must provide unique gameplay.
Look for example boss of Sonic 1. There you can not use Spindash. And I can only play as Sonic, thing that I can't see in Sonic 2 runs. I think see continually fighting is something fun to see. Not to mention the few glitches that can be observed. I think it's a hack with movie potential.

That movie is not mine. This submission is different.
His point is that that run beats yours by about half a minute. Which means that your run is quite suboptimal.
See the submission info and after judgment it. This is a BOSS RUSH run

Hey! Now I remember in Sonic 1 TAS apply a good glitch on Final Boss when you reached the combat area, pause a few frames the game and the boss will appear immediately. How is applies this glitch? Some value of the RAM is evaluated?

Yeah! I think I have the answer. It seems that earthquakes produced by the boss (Mystic Cave) cause the boss (Oil Ocean) have the graphics glitch and fast-speed glitch. So his defeat as a "Boss Rush" would prevent glitch and combat normally the boss (Metropolis). Also, I believe that also stops the glitch "skip boss".

No, the idea is not skip bosses. This run defeat each boss, anyone will be skipped. By that, i need fight with each boss normally.

I started this post to try to work on a TAS for game hack Robotnik Revenge v1. I will work alone. I just want the help for the best moves. And the idea is that this work has paid off. I do not want mistakes. First: This run will have as objetive a "Boss Rush", defeat each boss. Second: I have analized the matter and it will be a Time Attack. So, I can receive damage if necessary. I want you to help me figure out whether to use the glitch the boss (Aquatic Ruin) is a good idea. I think that glitch may be causing "skip boss". And doing so is not a good idea, because if I reach the boss (Metropolis) causing the glitch, it behaves strangely. And it is not good that to happen. I made a small step to see if this is worth it. What do you think?

I've been thinking that option. And I began to see how it could do so. I decided yes. But I'll work on it alone. Others just I want to help me in finding the best moves. I will start a new thread to the whole discussion and this submit will be canceled.

Why so much controversy over the game genie? All they do is give the same conditions as a game of Sonic 2 standard, not more.

Significant serious if I did Sonic invincible. If this hack exists a way of playing with both characters, no one would criticize by the game genie. But if not possible, never would exist a TAS like this.

My main concern is the Oil Ocean boss. In all the recent runs of Sonic 2, that boss is killed before he shoots anything, but this fight loses a lot of time when the lasers are getting shot. Is there some way to manipulate different behavior here?
I don't know. It happen when i fight Spring Yang and Hill Top Boss and skip Mystic Cave Boss. Is too fast and just can do 5 hit before he hide in the oil. About game genie codes: Of course I had to use this, it was the idea of the race. There are other TASes that rely on hacks, so it's not an excuse for not being accepted, is not it?

For me. I would like to see them try to do what ever I never get success. That I would see. I can say, collecting rings limits excessive use of speed and not to mention that sometimes rely on luck to achieve faster rings or slowly. Then let's go. Try to do this TAS, I'll not interfere.

I have see this game very interesting for speed attack. But is a Android Game for Phones and not exist version for PC but the question is: Have TAS emulator for play this game and use the assisted-tools? Without many details, this game is compromising for a TAS movie albeit short and with a incomplete history. Have interesting moves.

I have seen all video. I must admit I expected more fun, but some things were fun though few. I liked what he did in the 8-7 level besides that is a fun and exciting level. But I found that much use propellers, it was to move faster but he could at least reduce their use taking other flowers to be more varied gameplay. I like the video, but not for a yes vote, vote meh because I dont see it so bad for a no. Although there were some small imperfections.
