"Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to complete as many levels as you can without using a warp in Super Mario Bros. There are 32 levels in total. You will get a full completion by beating the game without using the warps. As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This tape will self-destruct in five seconds."

How about calling yourself TheEnglishMuffin? That sounds much tastier!
You mean it doesn't stand for Mega Man boss Man? You are not the guy who sits on the ceiling of the room on the far right?

You may as well ask why we should bother to upload to sites like Youtube when other people are already scooping up the published videos from this site and uploading them to those other sites.

Oh, that's right. So you wouldn't have to save up money for a weapon. And maybe Loid could just help out with his beams and bombs, since they don't require leveling.

Don't forget to look at all 4 screens as you record, or your movie will suffer a terrible fate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (if you just stare at 1 screen, the other 3 megamans will not do so well)
That's all I could figure out.

Well I think you should level up the fastest way possible to spend the least time in battles that you can, but it may make sense to do some easier enemies first so that tougher battles don't take forever.
And you talk about getting the Boomerang. Is this before or after roaming around Magicant? I guess you could go to Merrysville first, buy the boomerang, then run back to that first cave, so you'll have your Onyx Hook and whatever other goodies you can get in Magicant. Would it make any sense to get Loid right away?

Yeah, they do burst into flames. I'm not sure if there's any way to avoid the flames apart from maybe some powerful psi, but I found you can halve the damage by equipping a water pendant.

Ah, I meant how Jabo's plugin has that "Copy framebuffer to RDRAM" option thing, and I think one of the other plugins has something like that, but I don't feel like looking it up right now.

Maybe you should go ahead and find the ROM that Nitrodon used so you can watch Nitrodon's run and see if you missed anything important. I think I saw a spot in the cemetery where you missed a shortcut through a diagonal crack in the scenery, for instance. I think there's also a technique of putting "unnecessary" diagonal movement into your path so you end up facing an object immediately upon reaching it rather than having to stop and turn toward it. The ROM I have that I watched Nitrodon's run on is called "Earthbound (U) (Prototype).nes". (Your ROM is labeled "Earthbound Zero (Demiforce Hack).nes" for me.)
Now, has anyone started to plan equipment for the characters? I noticed Nitrodon didn't take the Plastic Bat. When is Ninten going to get his first weapon?

You know what, don't worry about it. Just come up with a decent plan and do a test run on whatever ROM you feel like, and by the time you finish, we'll probably have come up with a good decision on what ROM to use and we'll fix all the mistakes in the final run.

Another thing to consider is that the unreleased English version was used as the basis for the remake on Game Boy Advance. The original version is said to have looked a bit rushed at the end, as you don't get the eighth melody from anywhere specific, and there isn't really an ending cinema at all. But it also doesn't have the silly censorship of later versions, and the Game Boy Advance version isn't quite as authentic with its sound and not confining you to squares. So, I really don't know what to choose.
