People complain about everything! People complain when there are too many undecided submissions! People complain when there are too few! Too much complaining!

Hard to do with the ball moving horizontally faster than the pad, but with the steering wheel control it is possible, I believe. But it may get stuck on the corner of a stage sometimes.
Hmmm, is it possible to make a movie of Arkanoid in FCEU using the Arkanoid controller's input to move faster?

Inzult and xebra: Thanks for the explanation about the textbooks. Too bad there isn't some way to get such good resolution without compromising the readability. That part about being able to erase the ink might provide some fun after I've graduated and don't need the books any longer.
But don't you want to sell the books in top condition? Be nice to those who need your books after you!

After all, 5000+ rerecords could easily have been wasted on a route that didn't work at all, yet it would still reflect even though said rerecords had no impact on the final run. But this is just one example out of many.
Still, at least those rerecords were spent proving that the route didn't work. What bothers me is when rerecords get lost because of a route split. See, when I get to a major split like that, I'll record going through one way and make a copy of the movie file. Then I'll go back and rerecord from the route split point on one of the copies. If the second route turns out to be slower, then I can just throw that version away and go back to the other copy. (That's the whole purpose of the copy.) But the rerecords spent testing that second route also got thrown away! It's as if I didn't do any of that work to reach my conclusion at all!
And there are other ways to throw the count way off, like if you like to load a savestate a couple extra times out of nervousness, or if you like to do testing outside of the main movie. That's why I try not to think about it too much. But you can tell from these big paragraphs that I have.

I'm sure you could find the memory addresses that say "This is a warp" and program the bot to watch those addresses to avoid doing it. I mean, isn't that how the bot would know it's beaten the game in the first place?

Okay, I went way in-depth through the Display settings, and I found some brief information on some drivers, but nothing about antialiasing. I did see some interesting color control stuff, though.

Oh, okay. But the brick blocks were all replaced by those flippy blocks, right? They didn't even preserve the basic brick blocks from the first game! That's no Mario classic!

Yeah, well, I was also going to say you should be able to extract the salt and sugar from the solution, but then I thought, hey, then they'll just be in an air solution like the rest of us land-dwellers! So what's the difference!

Maybe Chamale's saying that those blocks aren't in the original Super Mario World. But they're based on the ones from Super Mario Bros. 3, so I give them a pass.
I mean, they've got a quarter note on them, and they're bouncy. I didn't associate quarter notes with bounciness before, but I do now! and raccoons with flying
