Takes no damage, no death
I play with Takosuke (the octopus) using 3 speeds, 2-way, ripple and the 4 options. I also get all the bells than appear in yellow in order to get more score (and not to take advantage from them, such as becoming invincible with the green one).

adelikat: Rejecting due to lack of optimization. Though I doubt an optimized version will be publishable either.

Watched the few first levels. Anyway, like AnotherGamer, I can't get past the missed shots. It makes the whole deal look sloppy and unprofessional. Also, consider the length of this game. 33 minutes is a bit excessive for an autoscroller. Anyway, this seems to be one of the better of it's category, at least in terms of entertainment for the audience, so I'm willing to give this a shot when done with the precision expected around here. And as usual for these threads, I'll give the "post WIPs to game threads" -advice. Generally you get good advice before you're finished and redoing stuff is easier.

Oooouuuuuch. I haven't even watched it, but 33 minutes and 328 re-records is a very very small undo-to-minute ratio. My first attempt was 7 minutes long with over 1000 re-records and it was rejected. I suppose it's possible to do a quality TAS that long with very few mistakes, but it's very very unlikely. You'd have to be some kind of cosmically conscious ninja that can see, hear, and breathe the game's code like it's the matrix. Not voting because I haven't watched the video yet, but if the other comments here are any indication, you really need to try harder. Don't give up on the idea. Just try harder.

Or the game would just have to be really easy.

You never know. It all depends on the author. Sometimes someone can do in 260 rerecords what another needs 1942 rerecords to do. Amazing stuff, really.

I posted a run before too, but it was rejected (I missed too much shots too, I only collected speed powerups to make it look more stylish...) I plan on making a new run someday.. to give it an aesthetic feeling. This run is not quite finished, so I'm afraid my vote is No also.

Okay, I watched some of it. I guess the "missed shots" thing is what throws me. The movie doesn't seem so bad, but I think it could be done better. I'm voting Meh.

If you want to try a new style, try Gradius with only a shield. At least in the GB version the shield is only depleted from bullets, not enemies (which makes it great for the Moai stage).

I actually think this game could make for a good TAS. There were some things I liked (like turning all of the bells yellow and collecting them all at once for lots of points.) It just needs improvement. I don't want the author to feel discouraged, but just try harder.

This definitely needs some work. All the missed shots were too much to handle. I think if you work a little harder on this, it would turn out to be a cool video. This, however, just seemed like a really good human player, not someone with god-like reflexes. I would like to see a more efficiently-done movie of this game. It looks like there's a lot of potential to me.

If this were optimized, I would still vote no. We already have a gradius submission, we don't need another.
