Boco has a habit of posting like that. Don't worry about it.
I had a look at your run. Although the run desynced at the Wire Sponge lift, I could tell that the run was not as fast as possible. It is faster to have Zero dash along the ground and jump (right+right+jump), rather than jump and air-dash. I also think the damage on the first boss was unnecessary.
I definitely look forward to your revision, so good luck on that. I just wonder what's causing the desync. I have the right ROM.
And use frame advance! You'll be impressed.
Don't worry, I won't. ^^
That's an odd place for it to desync. Which lift, the one with the Leg part under it or the one with 1HKO spike balls? He asked, as if that would help solve the problem.
That occurred to me. Too bad you can't dash-jump from a down+A dash, because down+A takes 1 frame and right-right takes 3.
Yeah...I don't know why I didn't fix that.
Got me.
I did and I am.
No new WIP, because I don't have time to do much right now.
I'm just a spectator. There was a time when I tried to participate, but I'm really lazy, so.

The first one, after the first save point.
When it desyncs, Zero goes under the lift and goes to Leg part capsule, triggering the Dr. Light conversation. It would have been funny if he actually got it, because it took me a while to realize that it desynced.

That's not a desync. For some reason the Zero levels are played as if the goal of the movie is 100% completion rather than getting only the stuff for Zero that lets you get the Arm part for X.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster.
I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.
So getting the Leg part is part of the run? I didn't know that.
But it still desyncs because Zero doesn't actually get the part, then jumps into the pit and dies.
Edit: It turns out that I am still living in ancient history with VBA 1.7.2 v9. I downloaded v17 and it works fine now.
Now to rectify the confusion that I caused for months...
Yay, a new and improved WIP! For once "new and improved" is a completely true statement...
There are 3 things I noticed that I could improve.
1. Early in the level I jump twice when I didn't have to. Jump-dashing from the first jump wouldn't take Zero far enough to hit the claw thing, but it would have been better to just dash through that spot. I think.
2. Occasionally I hit the boss a frame (or more) too late. Of course, I only notice this because it moves...
3. I should have fought the boss on the left side so that Zero wouldn't have to walk as far to talk to X.

EDIT: And it only goes through the intro level, and starts Wire Sponge's stage.
Also, should I get the Leg and Head parts? They're useless, even if it isn't a speedrun. I'm not going to skip the Body or Arm parts.

Um what? for X or for Zero? Anyway why would you need the Body? and does the time saved for getting Zero Final actually make up for the time wasted collecting it?
The point of Zero's Leg and Head parts are so you can get X's Arm part without X's Head part. I guess that doesn't matter much if it's not in Extreme Mode.

For Zero, obviously. The Body part cuts damage in half, which is useful if you take damage to save time, because you can do more of it. I don't know if the Arm part makes up for the time lost getting it, because I haven't really tested.

If you use your energy well, and don't take damage on unnecessary things, you may not need the body part, and since it's in a capsule, it'll cost alot of time.
And... umm yeah i found this file from my computer
http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1619/RockmanX2SoulEraser-Shinryuu.VBM
and lastnight i was really bored so i remaked whole starting stage.. don't mind about re-record i used old movie file for this and every test have tested on this .vbm

Bump.
I've been having this game on my future ideas list for quite some time. However, as with Xtreme 1, the game has three modes (X / Zero / Xtreme in this one), only the latter of which contains all stages and bosses, so it would be the superior version. However, it needs to be unlocked first (by collecting 3000 DNA souls and then buying it for 2000). I made a verification movie that unlocks Xtreme mode here: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/207057123/MegaManXtreme2Unlock.vbm
(the unlock movie is over an hour long, but you can just turbo through the majority of it)
If anyone else wants to make a TAS of this, this can be used as an unlock / verification movie file for Xtreme mode.

<dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects.

<adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

In 1 week, I will be back to my computer where all the emulators are there. And I thinked to start a TAS of this game while my laptop is encoding everything.
Thanks Mothrayas, you saved a lot of time with your movie of the unlock of Xtreme mode!
I give up. The game is extremely hard, and dash is almost impossible.

Aww, that's too bad. I was hoping you'd continue on with this, as I think the game can make for a very nice TAS.
Was dashing really that hard? If I recall correctly, you generally just need to press right+right (or left+left) once to start dashing, and then repeatedly jump, to keep dash speed, and only stop jumping when it becomes slower on a place than being on the ground. And if you're on the ground and don't need to jump after a dash, use down+jump instead, which saves a few frames.
