The first MineSweeper that came in Entertainment Pack 2 had a glitch that let you stop the clock at any time. Using that, you can have an unbeatable record in expert mode.
The glitch worked this way, you click on any tile on expert mode (the first tile chosen is taken as a seed for the random function, so there's never a bomb in it) and minimize the window. This way, the game pauses and the clock stops. Next, you double click on the game icon as if you were going to open a new game. The old game maximizes and you can finish it without having to worry about the clock.
My best record in Beginner is 3 seconds, played without using flags. My best in Intermediate is 28 seconds, pushing the two buttons at once to reveal all the tiles around one that can't have a mine.
It's a good way to push a bunch of random tiles at start, that way you may find the wider blank areas sooner.
My best records at solitaire are 58 seconds in Normal mode (Windows 98) and 63 in Las Vegas. Both with three cards.
Though I remember getting a better time when I was showing a friend how it could be done, He was very impressed. Too bad I didn't get a screenshot that time.
It can be easily improved, though. For some unknown reason, my computer freezes every time someone logs on Messenger. But I still can fill the buffer with about eight actions, or so. When windows goes back to normal (and the clock reanudates), all the actions take place at once, so with a bit of luck, I could be able to perform 8 clicks per second at this game.
That video is far too slow. Really, really slow. My record is 58 seconds, but I had to put all 52 cards one by one, because in windows 98 there is no option to put all the cards at once.

woo i just trashed my old record.. now at 35 seconds =)
yes, i play too much solitaire (can you blame me after 2 weeks of non-stop studying for exams? )
cool thanks for the link
i dont know how anyone does under 15 seconds cause just getting ~35 seconds is really hard for me
well i guess im still ~rank 80 =p
Notice though how the top 4 (in WinXP Draw One) except for the finnish guy have the same game, a bit peculiar I'd say.
I got 27s the other day. It was a perfect game, sadly got it in school where they have crappy mouses...still went well.
So I was playing solitaire today and I was wondering why I was having trouble solving it...
pretty weird, first time I noticed this while playing, probably not the first time it's happened but anyways
and since it's a competitions thread, my records are now 27s and 29s (both draw1 XP)... messed up big time on the 29s and should of gotten under 25s =(
