I was just wondering how good you all are at Solitaire. I don't really care too much about points, so in this topic we'll just compete to see who can win the fastest. So far my best time for Draw One and Standard scoring is 98, and I think that's a pretty good time, so let's see if anyone can beat me. I haven't attempted any Draw Three speed runs yet, but feel free to post times for that also. My brother said he got 141 in Draw Three.

If you hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift you will only draw 1 card in draw 3 mode. May be useful, or cheating. You decide.

You can post times that you got by doing that if you want, but make sure you say that you did it if you did. Anyway, an even more useful code is Alt+Shift+2.

If you click the second mouse-button, the game automatically puts up all the cards that can be put up, going through all the cards in the game- My bro is too good at Solitaire. He's got times like 40-50 in Draw One, Standard...and he's got pics to prove it. :D

Can't, don't have the tools to do that. Hope this picture will suffice, for now. :) http://www.geocities.com/haburashikun/images/Pasianssi.jpg

I have 58secs and 12740 points in Draw Three. I have the screenshot if someone wants to put it up. Although I might try to record a new "run" and ofcourse in Draw Three, I find Draw One somewhat slow :p.

Isn't this mostly a game of chance? Especially draw 3? Like, when you see a card that fits on draw 3, you'll put it down straight away even thought it might alter the course of the game. In this sense, the gameplay is mechanical.. you could write a program to play the game, run it overnight and see it's best result in the morning knowing that it will do just fine on its own. I want to see games with some creativity! :)

heh i play in draw 1 / score off, but my best time is 47 secs, and 48 is my 2nd best ( that i can remember anyways, i usually dont check my time so i probably did better before =/ )... i usually do it in 55-60 seconds i havent tried in draw 3, but its probably faster IF you get a good draw and can clear 3 cards a lot faster then 1,click,1click, etc. But then again slower with a bad hand..

How do you get such fast record? My record on Draw One, Standard is 108 secs... Btw, does anyone else plays minesweeper, I have some nice records in that game...

It depends if you can use the right mouse button or not (I think it only works in Win XP). It puts all cards up immediately that are possible, which speeds up especially the endgame. I have no idea if 38 seconds is good, I usually just play Vegas and try to solve it completely (208 $), I don't like the hectic :P I also used to play Minesweeper a lot, until I found a website with some records and a whole Minesweeper community - people who keep playing this game several hours a day for years... :S Anyway, my records are 4 / 37 / 115

That explains why I couln't use that trick, I have Windows 98... But my brother was Windows XP, I'll try that...

Nice records, mine are 4 / 35 / 122 . BTW, do you use the clicking the left and right mouse buttons simultaneously to uncover faster the squares?

I've gotten lucky and had a 0 on beginner. All the bombs were placed so that one click revealed all squares. My Intermediate and Expert times are about twice of those though.

yeah im pretty sure 38 seconds is good, considering arc's site has a 50 second video ( which i've never watch but assume its 3 card draw ) and for your minesweeper records, its easy to get 0 or 1 in beginner, when you start and all the mines are already revealed. I'm not really good at that game though, so i dont know if your other times are good =p

You can find some nice minesweeper videos at http://metanoodle.com/minesweeper/videos.html . The best times there are 10 seconds for intermediate and 43 for expert.

I can't open those videos, which program or codec do I need for them?

I've gotten lucky and had a 0 on beginner. The WR is 1. Do you have a different version of minesweeper where 0 is possible or was that a typo?

I might have not recalled correctly. And I didn't take a screenshot. So meh. I remember doing it on a 95 box. If that one has the possibility then I did it. Also, I'm pretty sure it didn't come preloaded. I had to put it on the box with a 3 1/2" floppy. Chip's Challenge, Ski Free, and Pipe Dream were also on the disk. It was part of some sort of game pack. But this was just under a decade ago. I can't honestly say I recall correctly.
