If the game has a disk format you can use that which is much faster than tape format games. Otherwise no, tape loading has to be part of the TAS. It’s in nearly every published ZXSpectrum TAS on the site.

Some games on ZXS and even C64 had two types of formats games would come in. There’s tapes that would be a cassette tape, and then there’s floppy disks which would load faster than tapes. However not all games were released in disk format so you will have to look up to see if the game you’re doing had a disk release. Either way there’s nothing wrong with using the tape format.

That’s typical, check out some of the other TASes for Zxs, they take just as much time.

the 'speed/skip' submenu, on config, don't helps?

You can press the “-“ and “=“ keys on your keyboard to speed up or slow down emulation, those are the default hotkeys for it.

Wait do you mean speeding it up for a faster TAS time or so you can skip it to get to the TASing part? If it’s the former, there’s nothing you can do to speed up the tape loading.

You will need to get a *.dsk image of the game (if it exists) and run this under the +3 model. That is the only.way (apart from speeding up the emulation) to get games loading quicker. Well, other than using another emulator. One day we might get accelarated tape loading and generic snapshot loading implemented. But if/when that happens it will strictly non-deterministic and for casual use only.

This is true, but it is a format which zxhawk currently doesn't know how to open.
