In case Mukki sees this, a Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation run has been finished and published. Woops should be paid his $10 for finishing the run so the bounty can be marked as complete. Mukki hasn't visited the forum since 2012, so it's doubtful he'll return to clear the bounty, but not impossible. Maybe someone who knows his contact info could reach out to him.

Shinobi III ACE. I will gift some games or something. I have a bunch of older SNES / N64 / XBOX / Playstation games too, so if you want a couple of those that could be arranged. https://puu.sh/FU49x/a7146a027c.png There is a suspicious crash here: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/63485368131720364 If you seriously start to work on it contact me, ideally on discord and we can hammer something out.

Hello everyone, I am offering a $50 bounty to anybody who can find a way to spawn+activate the warp portal in level 3 of Battletoads (for the NES) using the checkpoint glitch. For more information about prior research I've done on this trick, see here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=496733#496733 Anyways, I'm now going to lay out some ground rules for how to claim this bounty: 1. Use this movie file as a baseline for input (although input can be changed to setup the trick/get it to work): http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/64374095014736966 2. Must reach level 6 at least 5 seconds faster than is currently thought possible to do. 3. Must spawn+activate the warp portal using the checkpoint glitch (not just from hitting the portal at the end of the level). 4. Must leave the game in a state where future levels can be played through and beaten normally. If someone figures out how to do this, then they can send me a movie file of their movie up to the start of level 5, and I will send them the money. Also, while I'd prefer my movie file be used as a baseline, if a radically different setup is needed to set things up to make the trick work, then you are free to make your own movie file from scratch. Note: This bounty expires on December 31st 2020 at 11:59 PM.

i have a very simple TAS bounty, it stands for 3 games 10 dollars each! mk3, umk3, trilogy tool assisted speedruns which use this strategy or something faster: Link to video all normal enemies will be defeated before the timer hits 94 basically(it's ok to have a small exception), speed is obviously the goal i will only pay up the bounty to 3 different games, and will not pay for doing the bounty in three different versions of mk trilogy for example it also has to be submit and approved here on tasvideos using hardest difficulty and longest tower available
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Posting here to mention that I've not only completed one, but two movies of The Subspace Emissary, both accepted and published to the site without any hassle. I DM'd once soon after the first TAS was published, but didn't get a response, so I guess I'm trying here.

@DyllonStej That person set the bounty in 2015, but apparently is still active on the forum today. At this point, since you messaged them and posted here, that's all you can do for now. Maybe the person forgot to look here or they didn't remember they set a bounty; it's been 6 years after all. Please remember, it is a "honor system". There are no legal grounds for getting the payment, just that it would be more or less shameful of that person not to do the payment.

I'm still here and alive. I want to update my bounty as seen at https://tasvideos.org/Bounties "Genesis Rings of Power" change "* Must be less than 1 hour 30 minutes" to "* Must be less than 55 minutes" Since there's world record non-tas seen here https://youtu.be/GcHupXwK1hI is done in 1 hour 5 minutes-ish. Also what happened with Super Hydlide? I thought someone was working on it, but nothing for long time, is it abandoned?

Restarting a previous unclaimed bounty:
A login into my old account didn't work for some reason, so I re-registered under this new one. Posting here to revive an old bounty that wasn't claimed (or even attempted to be claimed) and doubling the potential reward. Offering a bounty of $0-$200 to the creator of a N64 Goldeneye 007 (“GE”) TAS video tutorial that clearly demonstrates the relevant fundamentals. The goal should be to bring PC gamers who are clueless about TAS’ing up to speed to a level of competency where a significant portion could break/tie current GE records. The video(s) must be available for free to the public on submission and not deleted. Some dimensions that the video could cover: 1. the download, installation, configuration, and usage of the best current tools to TAS-speedrun GE (e.g., Bizhawk/MUPEN + plugins, LUA-map, watch window for important variables). 2. The use of these tools in the most important GE TAS high-level workflows (e.g., TAS’ing a common scene in a level, loading/saving controller input sequence as progress so far after working on a level for a while, encoding a video file) 3. Demos of additional workflows with these tools with respect to effectively and efficiently mastering key low-level techniques like: a. Preferred GE Control schemes and when/how to switch to them. Which context makes one better? b. Firing weapons during cinemas and the benefit and tuning of this technique c. Taking damage from nades to boost and optimizing various relevant aspects (angle, distance, timing etc.) d. Taking damage from enemy shots to boost and optimizing various relevant aspects e. Determining key game aspects influenced by the PRNG (e.g., placement of some NPCs, items, NPC death animations) and how to manipulate luck in our favor in key areas through various controllable dependencies f. Important glitches and how to exploit them i. Weapon-switch warping ii. NPC Strafe/Lean iii. NPC Dialogue Shot iv. NPC Warp v. Quickpause to full pause speedup g. Luring guards efficiently and effectively (movement and shooting at certain things) h. Efficiently moving Natalia through levels constrained by her and just the latest cutting-edge techniques in general 100 days from now - on July 4, 2022 - I’ll evaluate all submissions linked and sent to me via forum PM and select the one I like the most, which is roughly based on the product of perceived quality and breadth. A rough baseline will be this TAS GE tutorial by Rising Tempest from 14 years ago. As long as I like the winning video(s) more than the 14 year old video, there will at least be some bounty paid out for the creator of winning video. The maximum reward will only be paid out for a video (or set of videos) that is both very high-quality (i.e., clear) and comprehensive (covering all important topics in detail, like a course). I realize this isn't much compared to the effort required, but I hope there is some motivation out there to grow the active scene.

Hello everyone, sorry english is not my mother language . Hope it will be understandable though Playstation did offer some high quality game such as FF serie , MGS , GT and the list can goes on forever... Most of those titles are well known by the community and has been played by everyone, even today. But some games remain obscures or at least absolutely underrated. One of those titles is of course VAGRANT STORY . An absolute masterpiece and the only game on the PlayStation, to receive a perfect score of 40 from the very serious Famitsu magazine. We are all gamers there, and we have played tons of games but inside everyone of us , one game stand over the rest. 20 years after my first step inside leamondis , I still played it from time to time. And I believe I hold the best save possible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Vaq5UPP7z8&t=28s&ab_channel=BfgBen Anyway , The current RTA stand at around 1h17mn and the game has never been TAS before , but to be honest it will not be very interesting to me. However and to this day no major bug/glitch has ever been discovered because the game system is very well design and probably because not so many player played it unfortunately. The only shortcut known is a brief detour to get a key and avoid the boring and long abandoned mines b2. To celebrate my 20y accomplishment I am offering a $200 bounty to anybody who can find any out-of-bounds or any major glitch that can bring the game under 1h. edit +100$ by christo +100$ by Riskbreaker_Y (+another 100 $ is it possible byhuman hand) +100 $ by AmenAnthem +160$ bonus if it is find before 2023 My main goal here is to : 1. Make people play this wonderful game (you will not regret it) 2. Hopefully discover something new 3. Goes even crazier with my current save state. Rules are the following : New game + are totally fine Out of bound must allow the game to be clear under 1 h (multiple out of bound are fine) One must give clear information about the skip. Must be accepted by TASVideos as an improvement to current WR Don't hesitate to PM to get any help.

Hey all, I just wanted to provide some awareness of Game Ventures, a platform created specifically for managing crowd-funded gaming contests, including Bounties. Though intended mostly for real-time contests, TAS and related goals are also supported. Full disclosure, I am co-owner and president of the org. Some headline features:
  • Trusted intermediary for contest awards; all award funds are held on-platform so payouts are guaranteed
  • Easy crowdsourced contest award funding, with user-directed management of individual contributions
  • Special Chase system to still support community collaboration and mitigate discovery shocks
  • Support for tracking related streams and stream history towards a given contest
  • Robust review process for winning Claims
Given that the official policy of TASVideos is that it doesn't endorse, recognize, etc for any Bounties, nor is it aiming to provide specific facilitation of such, it felt reasonable to highlight Game Ventures as an alternative for coordinating bounties. We can support most typical kinds of contests at present, and plan to launch additional products later to cover other scenarios, such as trick- and glitch-hunting.

Looks like the site was recently founded as its board is not so long for now. But I wish it will eventually become more popular.
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

Hello. I've paid for the bounty - Genesis Super Hydlide. Whoever has "Bounty" page access, can you move this into "Finished Bounty" section? *edit - fix nonsense writing, haven't sleep yet lol.

As part of the site's recent push to restructure the Hell out of this wiki, I moved the Bounties page onto a revamped version of Wiki: ListOfIdeas. Several of the bounties were removed in the transfer due to inactivity, though because this thread exists as an archive they can easily be added back should the creators return and express interest in keeping the bounties active. That being said, I'd also like to suggest that, going forward, bounties be free of extraneous conditions. It's not something I can enforce unless TASVideos decides to officially endorse bounties (which will almost certainly never happen), but I think it's reasonable to not add subjective or outside criteria to your request that only makes it harder for the person trying to fulfill it to get paid. Imagine spending countless hours selflessly working on a run for someone else, only to be told at the end that they didn't find it quite entertaining enough to pay you. Please be kind to TASers.

I would like to offer 700$ prize fund for competition of tasing this small flash game, which I have been playing for years, but never managed to bypass level 52 :( I want to see, how far is it possible for human to go in "Endless survival mode". The game seems to be determenistic, for every wave there are always same amount of enemies, so it comes down to making right decisions. I wonder, what is the optimal strategy to reach highest level? I think that following limitations will make the speedrun more enjoyable:
  1. Mouse cursor must not be teleported, but should move on screen at the pace enough to cross full horizontal game space in 0.5 seconds, not faster.
  2. Clicks are limited to five clicks per any given second, just in case, I don't think this limitation should be a problem, together with real mouse speed requirement.
  3. Sending next wave is allowed only from "Wave preview" button, clicking button for fast next wave skip is forbidden.
  4. Corrupting gamestate for manipulating levels and enemies is not allowed, the run should be reproducible by human at least theoretically.
So this looks like "glitchless, human-like" category, more about strategic thinking, than using advantages of TAS tools. The "speed" of record is determined by number displayed as "waves survived" after defeat. I am thinking about running the competition for two months, so submissions deadline should be 00:00 UTC 5th of January 2025, the person who gets the best score will receive 400$, second place receives 200$ (in case of tie in the score, first published submission wins, but second place can not be published after first, i.e. if someone posts submission, which won't be beaten, before anyone else, then second place award goes to him/her) and 100$ will be awarded to the person with best submission text, thoroughly describing important game mechanics and tricks/formuals used during the run. The submission text awards will be awarded by myself on 5th of January, so it is OK to first publish the run and write submission text later. I would like to pay the reward in crypto, preferrably Solana USDC, but any crypto will do. I would like to send the prize money to site admins, if they don't mind, so the competitors would be sure, that they will win the prize. Also I would be happy if this post would be moved to separate thread to discuss the game and competition. I am open to suggestions, in case I have made any mistake or you see the way to abuse the competition rules...

My bad, this is not the flash game, it is made with Unity and I have already created a topic for it here: https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/25803 Can mods move it to appropriate forum?

Moved. Admittedly, I'm not super up to date with modern PC TASing since this is rather bleeding-edge technology right now, but last I remember, Unity games had major problems with TAS environments. You might want to ensure the game is physically possible to complete a TAS on (i.e. it plays correctly to the end in a TAS envo and syncs after repeated use of rerecording) before you go ahead with your contest.
