was boring to resync but it's done.

Comments

My route between cases has been chosen with the number of frames between the last input of the case and the first frame where we see the last "Police screen" of the case :
  • Case 1 : 152 frames
  • Case 2 : 274 frames
  • Case 3 : 219 frames
  • Case 4 : 86 frames
  • Case 5 : 128 frames
The Case 2 is the case where the last input is earlier so my route is Case 1, Case 3, Case 4, Case 5, Case 2.

Case 1

Route : Road 1, Bank's money, Road 1, Gun, Road 2, Gunstore, Le Fiend, Road 2, Police.
Total : 56 screens.

Case 3

Route : Road 4(right), Road 1, Road 2(left), Comb, Road 2(right), Road 1, Road 4(left), Road 3(left), Haircut, Road 3(right), Road 5, Necklace, Road 1, Road 6, Gemstore, Road 6, Road 2(left), Le Fiend, Road 2(right), Road 1, Road 4(left), Police.
Total : 109 screens.

Case 4

I lose some frames before starting the Case 4 to do not need to avoid the flower pot
Route : Road 19(right), Road 3(right), Road 4(right), Road 8, Road 9(right), Road 10(right), Road 11, Shoes, Road 12, Road 14, Shoe store, Road 1, Road 2, Stamp, Road 2, Road 19(left), Stamp store, Road 19(right), Road 3(right), Road 4(right), Road 8, Road 9(right), Road 10(right), Road 11, Road 12, Road 18, Road 17, Le Fiend, Road 17, Road 18, Road 14, Road 19(left), Police.
Total : 223 screens.
I didn't press the reset button before selecting the next case because I discovered you don't need to. Did the same between the Case 5 and the Case 2. Before, it was useless because I would lose these frames at the start of the Case 4.

Case 5

Route : Gun, Road 11, Bank, Money, Road 11, Bank, Road 11, Road 10, Road 21, Comb, Road 21, Vase(letting the comb here), Road 5(left), Museum, Button, Road 5(right), Comb(letting the Button here), Road 8, Road 9(left), Haircuts, Road 9(right), Road 8, Button, Road 8, Tailor shop, Road 6, Road 24(right), Necklace, Road 22, Road 26, Gemstore, Road 26, Road 22, Road 23(left), Road 7, Road 14(right), Road 28, Stamp, Road 28, Road 7, Stampstore, Road 7, Road 14, Road 12, Road 1, Road 15(right), Road 16(right), Road 2, Shoes, Road 3, Road 4, Shoestore, Road 13(right), Road 1, Road 15(right), Road 16(right), Road 2, Road 3, Road 18, Le Fiend, Road 19, Road 20, Road 27, Road 4, Police.
Total : 386 screens.

Case 2

Route : Vase, Road 1(left), Museum, Button, Road 1(right), Tailor shop, Le Fiend, Police
Total : 51 screens.

Thanks

Greg Degeneffe. Memory to advising me rework on it ! The route 3, 4, 5, 1, 2 is slower because you need to wait more on the case 4 to do not avoid the flower pot.

Memory: Judging
Memory: Replacing file with 25 frame improvement.
Memory: Optimization is good. It managed to even improve on one of the submitted individual cases. It was agreed that having the final screen show for 1 frame when carrying the villain is sufficient to qualify as beating each case and this TAS does such here.
The game is still incredibly boring. The Case 5 TAS hasn't gotten enough ratings to even be visible yet and this is more of the same. Votes were fairly negative as well.

Can you elaborate on this more? Is this related to some sort of RNG or something else different between a full game setting and individual cases?

I don't think it's something different between a full game setting and individual cases because the game didn't has been thought to be played multiple cases at once. To prove what I say, I had the exact same pattern on animals and flower pots in my individual case TASes and on this full Cases completion TAS. It seems more like a framerule or I don't know how to call it which is maybe the same thing that happened on the last frame of my Case 3 (in this TAS). To make this TAS, I copied-pasted case by case and resynced them : sometimes I didn't have something to do on my inputs, but other time, I had to press a button one frame earlier or one frame later on jumps (B button) and on changes of road (Up button). In my individual case 4 TAS, I didn't have to avoid this flower pot but it is a frame to touch me, thing that happens in this TAS.

Could doing the cases in a different order potentially allow you to avoid this? ie 3, 4, 5, 1, 2?

I can try... I'll verify my inputs if I didn't lost a frame there or there at the same time.

What exactly are the improvements? EDIT: Also how do the cases compare to the individual ones now?

Sorry : I waited some frames before starting the Case 4 to do not avoid the flower pot and I deleted the pressing of the reset button at the end of the case 4 and the case 5 because it's not needed to select the next case. I didn't do it in first cases, because I would have to wait these frames saved before starting the case 4. The only improved case compared to individual submissions is the case 4 where I saved 26 frames (3 frames lost by waiting before starting the case to be able to improve the case, but I saved 2 frames by not pressing the reset button at the end of the 4th and the 5th case).
