How will Brazil perform after their debacle in the last world cup? Will England get past the group stage? Do you wish vuvuzelas were a thing in Russia? How many goals will score Spain in the final? Also: Video Assistant Referee in the World Cup - The system explained [YouTube video].

I see the guy from Spain is clearly not biased at all

Brazil goes to the final, Germany is beaten in the semi-finals, Portugal goes nowhere with Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi will cry, England loses in the quarter-finals.

Eh, probably semifinal like last time. Yes. Good god, no. Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

I think Brazil (though it's my favorite team) will be beaten by a European team like France. Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi will both cry. Germany should be in top 3.

Good tournament for the neutral spectator so far. Think it really shows that the gap between the top teams and the rest is narrowing, which can only be a good thing. Anyway, England start tomorrow and I have listened to Three lions about ten times over the past week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJqimlFcJsM

I was expecting Brazil to win today, but anyway, I'm sort of glad the only 'big' team that won a game so far was France, and on a tight game. A lot of zebras have happened, and they are always fun to watch.

Right now I won't be surprised if Mexico and Russia make it to top 8. They both did really well on their first match.

Germany vs Sweden, that was a really breath-taking game. I'm laughing a lot because of that 90'+5 goal. That was beautiful.

That unmarked penalty for Sweden, though... Now Germany is almost guaranteed to beat South Korea, and even if Sweden beats Mexico chances are goal difference will be in Germany's favor - so it will probably get past the group stage. If Germany finishes second and Brazil finishes first, we will have Brazil vs Germany on Round of 16. That would be fun.

If Sweden and Germany win 1-0 tomorrow. Given three teams have 6 points with identical goal difference and goals scored. Which two teams will go through to the knockout stages?

As far as I know, 'fair play' is the next tiebreaker:
FIFA wrote:
Here's how different fouls are scored for the the tiebreaker: Yellow card: -1 Red card for two cautions: -3 Straight red card: -4 Yellow card and straight red card: -5
Mexico has received 2 yellow cards, Sweden has received 3 yellow cards and Germany has received 2 yellow cards plus one red card for to cautions. So if the score attributed to cards doesn't change in these last 2 matches, and both Sweden and Germany win 1x0, Mexico and Sweden will advance. I'm not sure about it though because FIFA says right now Germany is in second place, when it should be third if we consider this fair play rule. I was wrong, read Masterjun's reply.

BrunoVisnadi, not quite, you forgot f) (you also forgot d) and e) but those are ties anyways). According to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Regulations (Article 32), the ranking in the group stage is decided by:
a) (overall) points
b) (overall) highest goal difference
c) (overall) highest goal number
Now if there are tied teams:
d) (between tied teams) points
e) (between tied teams) highest goal difference
f) (between tied teams) highest goal number
g) fair play conduct by weighting yellow and red cards
h) drawing of lots by FIFA
So if Sweden and Germany were to win 1-0, the ranking would either be 1. Sweden, 2. Germany, 3. Mexico, 4. South Korea or 1. Germany, 2. Sweden, 3. Mexico, 4. South Korea (if cards stay as is, the former one happens; if Sweden gets too many cards, the latter one happens; if they are tied then it's randomly decided) The part BrunoVisnadi missed was: three teams were tied, so the matches against South Korea are not counted anymore, meaning the goals look like this: Sweden: 2-2 Germany: 2-2 Mexico: 1-1 So according to f), Mexico is 3rd place no matter what the weighting of cards say. (Fun fact: If instead of those teams winning 1-0, they both win 2-0, then the ranking is the latter one no matter what, because in a direct tie between Germany and Sweden, Germany wins simply because they won the game against Sweden.)
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

Rep. Ireland and Netherlands at Italia '90 Although I believe they were both qualified anyway at the time.

I remember there was some complicated tie game situation in USA 94 where 4 teams had 4 points I think it involved Mexico, Republic of Ireland, Italy and Norway.

As an Argentine who has seen his national team get eliminated by Germany in pretty much every World Cup ever: :) I'm also happy to see we're no longer the biggest embarrassment in this World Cup (until this Saturday, at least :P). SATURDAY EDIT: Well, that was a bit less embarrassing than expected. Enjoy the World Cup those of you who still can! I'll get my coat.
You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

Wow, what was going on with the pitch in that Uruguay - Portugal match? The players were slipping and falling so much. At this point, I'm hoping for the final to be Uruguay or Belgium versus Switzerland.
