Today, two new BizHawk versions are released. Firstly, BizHawk 1.13.1 is released as an update to BizHawk 1.13.0, with various minor fixes. Secondly, BizHawk 2.0 is released - this is a major new version. New in this version are support for Neo Geo Pocket and Virtual Boy; also added were the Mednafen Saturn core (replacing Yabause) and Snes9x 1.54 (replacing bsnes' performance core). Other SNES and Genesis cores also have improved savestate stability, and bsnes also has improved performance. Note that BizHawk 2.0 requires running a new prereq installer, and it only supports Windows 7 and up, 64-bit only. More information about both releases can be found on this page: http://tasvideos.org/Bizhawk/ReleaseHistory.html#Bizhawk20

AGDQ 2018 submissions are open - what should TASVideos pitch? You decide! Please take this AGDQ 2018 TAS Block poll by Friday and rate which runs you'd like to see. Thanks!
I was laid off in May 2023 and became too ill to work this year and could use support via Patreon or onetime donations as work on TASBot Re: and TASBot HD is stalled. I'm dwangoAC, TASVideos Senior Ambassador and BDFL of the TASBot community; when healthy, I post TAS content on YouTube.com/dwangoAC based on livestreams from Twitch.tv/dwangoAC.

As of now, Linux TASes made using libTAS are officially supported for submission on TASVideos. libTAS is a program for Linux which creates an intermediate layer between the game and the operating system, in order to provide TAS tools such as frame advance, savestates, and input recording, and providing a graphical interface to the user with tools such as an input editor and RAM watch/search. This type of tool is known as an API translation layer (trans-layer), and should not be confused with an emulator. More information about libTAS is available here. We also have a discussion subforum for libTAS. Note that the TASVideos movie rules have a few specific rules for libTAS movies. Be sure to read these rules for libTAS movies if you intend to submit a libTAS movie to our site.

I've personally been very busy as Ambassador on staff - I (dwangoAC) wrote an article on the history of the site and appeared on This Week in Tech's Know How. We've also been at Games Done Quick events including AGDQ 2018, SGDQ 2018, and GDQx TwitchCon 2018 just this year alone (gdqvods.com lists all past TAS appearances). My list is obviously biased to things I've worked on so please post your favorite article here!

TAS content is up next at SGDQ 2019 where TASBot will be playing Tetris and Mario Kart Wii along with the likely bonus game Celeste with the incentive for the latter set at $175k. TAS content will also be at ESA on July 26th, serving up a healthy dose of SteamWorld Dig 2 and a few other surprises. I (dwangoAC) will also be taking TASBot to both MAGWest and MAGFest. Finally, TAS content will also be shown during the Bot Bash Charity Brawl on December 7th pitting BattleBots drivers against one another while benefiting Toys for Tots. See the 2019 TAS event content thread for more!
