Post subject: Where does timing end on TAS movies?

What signals the end of a TAS, is it the completion of the game, or would it be the final input that ends up completing the game? For example: Super Mario Bros Would timing stop at the axe, or the last input possible that would hit the axe? I remember reading somewhere on this site that timing is Power On to Final input, but I can't seem to find it.
If a map had all the information, it would look like this: (shows black construction paper) "Now that's a map!' XD

For Super Mario Bros. the TASes end at landing on the axe iirc.

For most (if not all) games, TAS timing ends with the final input. A handful of other games (such as the Zelda series) keep the RTA timing tracked as well, but for our purposes it's the final input.

The timing for every TAS is simply the length of the movie file, which is poweron to last input. Where input ends depends on the game and/or TAS. Super Mario Bros. TASes traditionally end input upon touching the axe - other TASes generally end upon either the last input required to beat the game, or the last input where the game cannot be beat any faster.

It's mentioned on the Movie Rules.
The movie must be complete Your movie should begin from the console power-on and end when the last decisive action has been delivered. There are no specific rules for an exact endpoint but it must adhere to the following rules: It must beat the game (1-level movies that don't finish the game are rejected). It must be able to reach the credits or end screen without requiring any further interaction; all input must come solely from the input file (e.g. configuring the emulator to autofire after the end of playback is not allowed). An exception has been allowed for Rygar. It should end with the last input. Don't leave any blank input at the end of the movie. If a game never ends, then it may be considered complete once there is no new content introduced, and the difficulty no longer increases.

Post subject: LEGO Star Wars TCS (DS) TAS ending

I'm back. So, I did an any% TAS of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for the DS. and it does finish the game... except, it doesn't reach the final credits and head back to the Cantina, it just ends at the save prompt before it. But all game input is done, so is it finished, or should I continue it and make it reach the credits? I also have this for my Free Play TAS. I can easily fix it if it's a problem.
