Hi everyone, I'm new to TASVideos. I was wondering what kind of TAS videos should I make to be able to submit to forums? Specifically, am I allowed to make TAS Videos where the goal is (hopefully) entertaining gameplay, instead of aiming for high-scores or fastest completion time? What about games for which TAS videos have already been posted before? Are we allowed to post TAS videos of games for which somebody already made a TAS video? Thanks.

Speed is greatly preferred, although if a high score run is interesting enough, it can also be allowed. Playarounds generally are not accepted and are better off on YouTube. If you're doing a run of a game that doesn't already have a run on the site, it will need to look optimized and fast. If the game already has a run on the site, you'll either need to beat its time (unless you're replacing a run that was done on an inaccurate emulator) or you'll need to play a category that doesn't already have a run (and the category needs to make sense and not be arbitrary).

If you're looking for entertainment, you'll have to look into fighters specifically (most of the time) to create some playarounds.

Disables Comments and Ratings for the YouTube account. Something better for yourself and also others.

If you have a very unconventional TAS idea, first talk about it in the forum in order to heard opinions. This is probably the easiest way to know if a run with a particular goal for a particular game is going to be accepted (or at least considered).
my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: thunderaxe31 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"
