Just watched the latest WIP and it looks really impressive. I do wonder if it was possible to avoid getting hit during the boss though.

Yeah, I got hit because I was bored - it literally affects nothing. I'm trying to make Klonoa look strangely incompetent, as during the autoscroller. :)

That's a great new goal for a speedrun: "Makes main character look strangely incompetent." Great progress. Very Speedy.

Well, I finally got back round to hacking at this again (thanks Cardboard). This one is a big improvement - since my first attempt at 2-1, I've shaved 248 frames! This is thanks to a damage boost, and also an extremely difficult manipulation trick (thanks Cremator). Here and there are a few frame shavings. Anyway, enjoy. Check my first post. :)

Topic revival! I felt like starting a run of this game for fun. I'm doing an any% run however and just finished the first three levels. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1529076788/KlonoaTASany%25.vbm People enjoyed Lag's 100% WIP at least, but will people like an any% run as well? Or should I switch to 100% instead? You'll need the VBA-M emulator to play. Found here

Yo, I'm now working on this since last Friday. I also aim for any% like Tompa. I'm doing TAS by comparing my movie to Tompa's. Tompa did very well on this that main job was desperate race to keep up with his movie. I couldn't even find any other way to be faster than him on first level. In the end of first level, I ended up with finishing with no improvement. Only improvement so far is what I accidently saved by 11 frames, pressing button earlier on title screen to reduce lag. I'll post later after completing few more level.

There is a JP any% TAS wip on nico: Part 1: Link to video Part 2: Link to video It improves my WIP at a number of places. So be sure to check that first. It's one of the reasons why I never continued my own run, despiting I enjoyed TASing it. My latest WIP got up to an unfinished attempt at the second boss: VBM

Thanks for sharing video. Dang, this guy is pro. I'm not sure he's still working on it, but I think I should look for other game.

Link to video If you watch it through it actually doesn't finish the game. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1605086138/klonoa_tas36.vbm
This is abandoned sadly.

I started TASing this again recently, improving both my own run and the one posted above. I found this little glitch that could be useful in later board levels: Link to video World 1 WIP coming next week or so, just need to finish it first :).
