Been a while and Glower/Rain collaborated and found a way to "skip" both Parakarry and Ultra Boots! Link to video This still saves time but it could save so much more if we could find a clip for the Flarakarry Skip in chapter 5 that required Parakarry. Another options would be finding a way to get the Ultra Hammer without Parakarry which would required 3 skips. 2 to get it and 1 coming back. My post from over a year ago is super relevant right now lmao. Referring to Sushie Glitch in Volcano "This may eventually have a use if we find a way to skip Parakarry." - 2015

The reason bone has "skip" in quotes is because it's been possible for a while now to skip Ultra Boots, it was just slow, and while Parakarry is now skippable, it's currently slower to do so, unless a skip is found for one last use.

With the release of the newest version of GLideN64, are there updated emulator settings to fix the shadows and visible seams in this game?

The highest priority should still be that pause lag...
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

Pretty sure the pause delay has been fixed for a few years, now.

You got humor I give you that. But it hasn't.

Yeah I posted about it in November and the thread just sort of died off even though the solution was posted. I never bothered about it again cause we've been bugging the devs for a long time about it so we're tired of annoying them lol.

Honestly, the pause glitch has kept me from working on an All Cards TAS for quite some time now. It's demotivating to know I'm already going to lose over a minute. Regardless, I will be working on it starting within the next few weeks.

Happy to hear it Malleo, I hope that you will post enough WIP so that we can well follow these works. Good luck !

In the any% TAS, the pause glitch was definitely hurting the entertainment value for me, even though I liked the TAS itself. I obviously want to see an All Cards TAS, but it still makes me sad that it will inevitably suffer from bad emulation.

Looking forward to working with everyone again (even though I don't do any of the TASing myself :P). We actually already had an all cards TAS route finished up early last year but the aforementioned pause glitch demotivated Malleo and then Palace Skip was found in TTYD a couple months later. Gotta touch things up with the Ultra Boots skip seen above. Not sure how much that will effect the late game battles. We do have more knowledge now about Power Bounce caps "realistic" chances so it's not just hoping that something is possible like with the Any% TAS lol.

Link to video The number of partners required to finish the game has been reduced by 1; Parakarry is no more. If you want my guess as to how much faster it is I can throw out a random number and say 35s. NPC pushing tech found by imglower. You can use it for a whole lot of stuff but it takes so long to cover such a small distance that it's hard to find anything that would be worth it to use it for. Video by rain.

Originally we thought this needed NPC pushing but apparently this whole time you could just jump in and grab it. Should save over a minute in the all cards TAS (except for that fact that said TAS was JUST finished). Link to video No pushing method found by imglower and myself. Rain was there too. NPC pushing method found by degex.

Another update: With record skip and a fix for pause lag now thanks to Isotarge , Malleo has decided to hex edit everything from the beginning since the time save is so large. Unfortunately this means it'll be a while longer before it's done but the final product will be much better.

How exactly does this glitch work? Why do you need Bombette explosions to push NPCs? From the looks of it, the actual pushing happens after the explosion is complete.

Yeah on the frame she lands if you're pushing against an NPC it moves it a bit. As to why that actually happens I don't even know. There's a bit more weirdness besides this with using Bombette and nobody really knows why it happens.

Imglower found this. I told him to find it so that should count for something, right? And maybe I helped a little. Should save time in the All Cards TAS, except it's already done... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7HX8Rbw28Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVSh09LhIro He starts out the video on top of the statues, which you can get onto with an ultra boots jump. You have to kill the last clubba or else the door can't be opened. Finding Lakilester Pushing tech is hard b/c it's so unpredictable...

Link to video Looks really interesting. I wonder if there is a way to get an upgraded hammer and other partners after skipping Goombario.

It looked like the sewer glitch was related to trying to do the fold&tumble effect on the non-existent partner.
