The reason the jumping in this run looks so slow is because Mario does not maintain momentum and the minimum jump height is much higher. This game is known for being notoriously hard to control, and it can be seen well here. This was a very simple TAS that did not take an insanely long time to make. This is not perfect though You could probably save around 50 frames. Being able to go straight to Bowser's castle was a programming oversight and was only in around 50% of the carts that where released. Other than that not many glitches are used in this run.

Please edit the submission rather than resubmitting it every time you change something. Using the warp seems akin to using a password to me, you should complete the full game instead. The run doesn't look optimal. IIRC, you can hold Down while jumping, which should cut some jumps shorter, which should save some time. Also, why do you pick up several mushrooms during the Bowser fight? You do not need them at all. Link to video Here is an old all-exits run from ISM. You can use it as a base for improvements. Wow, that's a pretty choppy bootleg game. I'm curious how it lets you go straight to Bowser. You say that only some carts would allow that? Is that an issue with game version? However, the run has some sloppy mistakes. As scrimpeh said, you do not need mushrooms in the Bowser fight, so you don't waste time with the power-up animation. I think I spotted at least two other mistakes: * In the cage room, you should drop off the cage earlier and run more to the door. Your running speed is higher than your climbing speed. * In the last long room before Bowser, you stun a Mechakoopa in front of you and briefly pick it up before discarding it. Why don't you keep it with you and use it to kill the next two Ninji (the black star-shaped enemies)? That means you can jump less.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Thanks baddap1. That's a lot better. It also ends input much earlier.

I know I shouldn't, but whatever. Spiked Lightly Input shows me an attempt wasn't made especially with that low rerecord count.

That, that's a publishable run right there. Over half a minute faster, too, damn.

Getting the mushrooms at the end just means ending input early, there's nothing left to press once bowser takes the final hit.

I'm done, I don't this input, I don't like anything did here, I think everything I salvaged and fixed is still improvable (by obvious means), I'm done. 7118 frames - 01:58.44 It's shit, if I want to make an entire TAS of this, I would redo it from scratch. Personal RR count, since I never show this, hit 506 just from fixing your input.

Thank you guys for the help lol c: I didn't expect this to be accepted because I was literally just learning how to use the tools but I'm definitely going to redo it with much greater knowledge.

Sabitsuki: While I won't discourage learning how to use the tools, the Workbench is for stuff that's aiming to be published. It seems you were posting WIPs, which those go in User Files and the respective game threads. Please be aware that if you have too many rejected submissions in too short a time, your submission permissions can be restricted. On that note, welcome to the forums!

As Pokota said, welcome! Don't be too discouraged from this attempt; there are definitely more ways to practice. It's just that the Workbench is not the place for that. Also, make sure to look up other people's work too. Any submission should generally beat all known existing records.
