Nothing romantic to share. ars4326 was my college ID (first, middle, last initial + random numbers). Come to think of it: With all the TASes that I've had published, I'd probably be one of the most famous alumni on the Internet ;) edit: Actually, this guy is the most famous alumni I know of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kane_%28wrestler%29

Samsa, my usual nickname, came from the Franz Kafka novella "The Metamorphosis", where a man by the name of Gregor Samsa wakes up one morning as a monstrous vermin. I've been using the name since I was 17. Samsara, aside from being two letters off my usual name, is a cycle of life, death and reincarnation, the "wheel of existence". It's a negative thing in Buddhism, akin to living life after life with no direction or purpose. However, since I'm a nerd and not a Buddhist, I took the name from the Shin Megami Tensei series, where samsara appears in a number of games in different forms: The one I used in particular is the ultimate light spell in Persona 3 and 4, unique to my favorite demon in the series, Daisoujou. Since Persona 4 had been released a couple months before I signed up, it was still fresh on my mind, so I signed up as Samsara here. that, and Samsara sounded more feminine, since I was going through a gender identity crisis at the time

I was about 11 and needed a nickname to join a forum. I went with 'scrimpy'. There's no special story to the name, but I thought it up with the following considerations: 1.It should start with the letter S. (Because all the cool names I knew at the time started with s) 2.It should be just one word. (I wanted a fairly short and snappy name.) 3.It should not be a word from the dictionary. Quite a fail in that respect, but I wasn't aware at the time 'scrimpy' actually meant something. Over time, the name morphed around a bit, so in some places (like here), I'm registered as scrimpeh. It's like they say, know your enemy.

fs are the initials of my full name, vgm stands for videogamer and 777 is what I consider the "ultimate lucky number" (i.e. if you get 777 on a slot machine, you get the jackpot). That's basically it.

I needed a nick for GW2, so in an outburst of creativity, I consulted a random fantasy name generator. Because I didn't want to waste much time with choosing I decided for the first one that I think suited the race I was going to play: Rekk Gamma. When signing up for the TASVideos forums - in another outburst of creativity - I shortened that nick to RGamma, which I've been using since. Previous nicks (mainly for Steam) I used were CtrlAltDel and CtrlShiftEsc. Incidently rgamma is also a variant of the gamma distribution for the programming language R. See http://stat.ethz.ch/R-manual/R-patched/library/stats/html/GammaDist.html. (Don't ask me for an explanation. I'm not familiar with statistics.) Am I happy with that nick? I don't know; I might change it in the future, if I find a good one and feel the need to.
All syllogisms have three parts, therefore this is not a syllogism.

My name means Multi Ultra Giga God and I came up with that when I was about 12, and I was inspired by the god Eneru in the One Piece anime. I basicly thought of it as the perfect nickname and it fit as a tag for Smash Bros Melee (where a name could only contain 4 characters), a game that I played competitively after I came up with the name. In that game I was also inspired by Ganondorf since he was so almighty.

I was basically looking for a good name for YEARS, originally for a brand of some sort (I've wanted to make games for ages, and "endrift" was originally going to be the brand name for the games, not my personal username), and eventually stumbled on the name endrift, which is meant to evoke sort of a dreamlike fluid state, where things are up to interpretation and nothing is concrete. The endrift logo, my avatar, went through about 10 revisions before I settled on this one. It's meant to be ambiguous in what it represents. It's supposed to look both like waves and clouds at the same time. (It also needs a bit of a redesign.) Here are some early designs that didn't make the cut: (Also if you tweak the logo a bit and rotate it, uh...)

tremane was created by a nice typo "the man - tre man" what´s good about it: * "tres manos" in spain means "3 hands" and for speedrunning doing insane shit 3 hands would be totally awesome (think about all that mashing^^) | Primal85 came up with that | * also the word "tremendous" is pretty close to it.. in the end a really fitting nickname i have to admit

My original name that I use just about everywhere else, "The Barrel" comes from an infamous obstacle in Carnival Night from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I originally used the name on Sonic Retro. At the time I registered (I don't know if this is still the case as I haven't visited in a long, long time) the registration page said that one had to have an "original" name - I.e. not "SonicShadowfan52618". So I thought "what's my favorite Sonic game? S3&K. What do people remember about it besides the Death Egg? The Barrel." So there you go. I tried registering here as "TheBarrel" like I did with SDA, but for some reason it wouldn't let me register with that name (even though I can't find anyone on the members list with that name) so I went with the simple misspelling, though I still pronounce it the same.
Somewhat damaged.

Considering that "mano" has thirty-six different meanings in Spanish, that phrase can mean several different things. :)

I'm surprised you weren't able to find them.

I still find this story amusing.

Can't say I looked that hard, I have a pretty bad habit of skimming lists fairly haphazardly. But given the lack of activity I wonder now if it did actually register me technically but wouldn't let me continue (I distinctly remember it wouldn't let me continue with the registration as if my name was already taken and wouldn't send me a verification email like with this account). The reg date is around the time I first time I tried registering - don't ask about the more than half a year gap. If it has the same IP as me, I'd wonder who I'd talk to about possibly deleting/merging the account if necessary. But I'm going off topic a bit...
Somewhat damaged.

There is no special story behind my nick name: it's just an union of three things that I happen to like.
my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: thunderaxe31 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"
