Player Airlock: Gay, Spanish racer.
Use presentation of Atari emulation.
Problems making the race:
You have to be perfect when dodging enemies, or you die. This is a complicated issue. So use frame advance to perfect dodge.

bug

Zip fast through the block, if not holding an address, go fast through it.

Potential improvements:

I think the race can improoved. Maybe find more places to use zip mistake.

I saw a sprint on YouTube was fast, but not as good. because I use the zip mistake and does not.

Noxxa: Replaced movie file with a 507-frame improvement.
Noxxa: Replaced movie file with a fixed version that clears all levels.
ars4326: How's it going, man? Let's get this judged!
ars4326: Hello, Gay. This run looks well-optimized, and had nice usage of zipping. I can tell in the thread that you put extra effort into further optimizations, and even went ahead and completed the extra level. All other questions concerning possible improvements seem to be answered, too. Accepting for Vault!

Sorry for the site's rules, I didn't cause bad with the villain intentions. - I see errors with sprint where I miss zip mistake. I address. Time now almost 56 seconds. Where can I put it for you to see?

I can see it. You did well on using the zip glitch. However, I made the first floor 39 frames faster by jumping one less time. Here is the file: User movie #23626284926076097 I will let you find the other errors. The second floor can be faster; remember to use the zip glitch there. (Note to viewers: The zip glitch only zips you to the right, even if you approach it moving left. This is why it is only used on about half of the floors.)

Hokay, saved 81 frames, thanks CoolKirby :) :) http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/23626699012255489 Do you think there is more improvement? I have gone below the 56 seconds mark. Almost 10 seconds below my first race. This is great to me.

You're welcome. :) I don't see any more improvement, it looks perfect! You can now ask for a judge to replace the submission with the new file. I think it has to be you (the author) who asks.

So you can’t jump on top of those blocks? The pause to jump over the first enemy is necessary? On the second-top floor, can’t delay the jump over the enemy so you get the zip at the same time? And most importantly: is it impossible to running-jump all item-things? What if after jumping over a block you ran a few frames in the opposite direction to align with the item-thing better? I’d test stuff myself but I don’t feel like installing BizHawk for this.

1. No, you can't walk on top of the blocks. He'll just push you out if you land on it. 2. Yes, the first pause is needed. You have very little space between the block (even slightly touching it will force you away) and the ground. 3. Zipping glitch when you are very close to the block is always the fastest way to zip, so landing on the block above would be wasting time. (The reason the first block is not zipped when close to the block is because we have to wait for the enemy, so no savings.)

I went and looked into the items I did not get a running jump. The first one on the ground floor will put me in a bad position (too far). The next on the second floor is too close to the block to get a right-jump, and positioning myself to catch him with a left-jump is a loss of frame. With the third and fourth floor, it is similar, simply exchanging directions. (Touching the block when the player is in the air, the block always will force you out in a direction, and this will not save time).

Why did you play only the easiest level? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvQ17Z5lI6I Edit: Upon further checking, the difference between 1,2 and 3,4 is one player vs two. So still, 1/2 is obviously the shorter and easier of the two choices. [MOD EDIT: Removing link to information source as it also contained ROM links. --Mothrayas]

How I can show the harder levels in emulation? I see nothing to change switches of difficulty? In any case, I'll be happy to finish the other levels.

Looks like you can access them using the console's Select button. I added a switch to Level 3 to the beginning of your newest file: User movie #23646612302554881 There is one more screen you have to do. You might be able to jump between the pairs of blocks without stopping, but it will have to be tested.

Now that you've finished your Pingu run, how is this movie going? Do you need any help finishing the second level?

Completed, but I 'I ve been waiting, Actually. Not sitting well with the result. I guess it's as fast as it can go, but it just looks awkward sometimes. I'd like your opinion, I do not be surprised if there are lost frames. I put it up on the site tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/23982851112618067 Also : Don't replace the file with this one yet until I am sure it is good.

Actually, I watched it a few times and tested a few things, and I didn't notice anything that could be improved. It does look a little awkward, but it's because the enemies are in bad positions and you were either forced to wait or weren't able to zip all the time. I think this new file should be good to replace the current submission. I also made a video encode of it, if you want to include it in your submission text.
