So... I've come back to this game. Noticed some improvements. And finished 1-1 just now. Link to video Maybe warpless and 100% are more interesting. But running dolphin is hard on my computer. So I TAS shortest one - warped run firstly. Improvements: 1. Corner boosting. It gives 0.1 - 2.0 more pix each time. 2. Better way to get Propeller Suit. EDIT: Improved 18 more frames. Kick ? box instead of groundpound after getting the item. So 18+11=29 frames saved in 1-1. And 10+ frames saved by skipping text "world 1-1" animation faster. (Press A button.) Replace to a new improved video.

Mario keeps 3.23 speed before touching the ground. (And it's 3 after touching.) So corner boosting at that place is unnecessary. BTW, here's 1-2. 9 frames saved in this level at lease. Link to video

Now... 5-1 has been finished. There are 59 frames saved. The improvements mainly come from jumping aside from the vine better. Link to video Comparison image: Smaller is mine. When timer changed to 448. When I touched the flagpole.

Too long no submit. Exams are finished. And internship will come to me. So I can't TAS in few days... But... I've finished World 5-4 already. Upload it to show you that. Improved so many frames. (87+) It takes Got4n longer time to enter the pipe in view 2. But saves In-Game time. Link to video When In-Game timer changes to 355: (Bigger one is mine) When I touched flagpole:

I'll explain why I don't like your checking. You still do not account for the load times between the different versions of Dolphin instead you leave the load times in and say that it's good enough to show differences. I'm going to wait on your submission so I can actually go through this properly like my older posts. Especially with this post being the biggest example.

Is there an argument to be made against start frame to end frame per level?

I just started a TAS of this game and wanted to play it back. So, when I first made the TAS, there was not the message ''a save file has been created.'' But when I played it back, it was suddenly appearing, desyncing my movie. Can anyone help? EDIT: When I load a state right before the message appears, the movie syncs without the message even appearing.

What version of Dolphin are you using? Also, try clearing your save file folder.

First: I am using version 5.0, which revision I don't know. Second: I don't really think this has anything to do with the save file because the message only disappeared when I loaded a state that was before this message. Maybe this is just because of loading the state. I don't know much about stuff like this, but could it somehow be possible that a save file was created when the message appeared and then, when I loaded the state, didn't get deleted and so also didn't reappear?

I somehow cannot watch RAM-values on Dolphin but I need a way to do this, because my computer doesn't allow me to open Dolphin in debug-mode. I need this for corner-clipping, though I don't know if this is really necessary. Can anyone explain why corner-clipping is so important?

Use cheat engine to watch RAM values if you can't with Dolphin (though you really should be able to get debug mode working...)
