I know that being in the air is faster than walking along the ground.
I also know that there are problems with wall climbs when you hit the ceiling.
Also, that wall is really annoying, due to it's shape.
I think it could be faster, but I'm not sure.
Here's why I'm not sure that could save time.
If I clip not high enough into a wall, I'll be ejected with no momentum, which is not helpful.
Also, if I am moving downwards too much, I can't enter the wall properly either.
So, point is, I'm not sure if I can enter the wall sooner.

Well, I completed 1-2.
Except that since this game lets you do the levels in a world in any order (Except for the very first level, the end of each world, and 8-5 and 8-6)
So I ended up doing a different level second.
Should I just wait to complete the world before I post another video?

So, somehow, I complete the level, I make the video, then I notice something.
The game thinks I didn't play the level.
I open up the game.
Once again, the game doesn't think I beat the level, and the score for that level is zero.
Any idea why?

Is it possible that hourglass r81 on XP has some setting that caused it to skip saving properly?
Did I possibly not collect enough coin in that level for the game to count it?

Hourglass does not interfere with the reading or writing of files. If the game fails to save, it's more likely to be related to the game than to Hourglass.
Well, I entered it before my other run did (published has it be the third level played, this run has it as the second)
This run is on winXPx86, while published is on win7x64. (on win7, the game takes several more milliseconds to start, desyncing a winXP run if it's played back on win7)
This run uses the King Skip glitch, which causes the game to bypass counting down health and time, by dying, but late enough that the game doesn't pull up a game over screen.
I don't get as many coins.
---
My current hypothesis is that I did the king skip in a weird way such that the game thought I died, but didn't?
The other prospect is that it's purely a graphical glitch

You could test different things, like not doing the King Skip glitch, or delaying the glitch by some frames, or doing the glitch in the original way for a different level, and seeing which ones save and which don't.
So, I got the game to save level 2.
It seems like you need to get some coin in the level, because the game seems to treat "MaxScore=0" to the level not being played.
Movie file coming after I fix a tiny optimization error at the very end of the movie.
And double check sync.

Movie file is up on the wip directory.
YT video forthcoming, since the game only syncs on XP
EDIT:
Link to video
EDIT2: Saying the game only syncs on XP is a little misleading. This run only syncs on XP, because XP and 7 have different numbers of lag frames when starting up.
Win 7 has more lag starting the game up, so there's a few frames saved due to playing on XP
