What's the problem with BizHawk? It's a better emulator anyway‚ with less desyncs than Mupen.
I problably made mistakes, sorry for my bad English, I'm French :v

Why would anyone want to use Mupen when last time I checked Bizhawk was better in various departements.

Mupen-rr can still be used. It's reset recording mupen that can't be, since it doesn't actually emulate resets. It's a hacky solution that isn't sound and causes all sorts of issues.

it's not logic at all. But it's still true.

1. Wait are they honestly going to use Mupen solely because other TAS'es do that despite the risk of desync? Why? 2. Even if it was true why would that be a valid reason to use a desync prone emulator?

It sucks that it can't be submitted here, but I guess it can't be helped. Maybe someone could explain the situation to the admins here so it gets published anyways
it can be helped very easily by not using mupen

Yeah I can't see why anyone could be convinced, that we would use Mupen. Nobody of us has ever said anything like that ;)

Isn't there somewhere you could get 5 extra Deku nuts if necessary? The rocks in Kokiri or Kakariko?

Rocks don't spawn deku nuts. As far as I know, the only way to get any is to either buy them from a shop or kill a deku baba, or roll into specific trees (?)(Is that only in MM?), or open a chest with them. Since we don't run into a deku baba or one of these trees or one of those chests before we need deku nuts, our only option is collecting rupees to buy them.

There are some trees with nuts. Getting nuts from trees actually was in the any% route when ganonless with FW was the fastest known route (sadly that was too short of a time to ever see a TAS)

Is the tree in Kakariko one such tree?

Oh please, just because they haven't said anything doesn't mean they're not working on it. Show some patience, it's only been about a month.

The route planing for Grunz's Majora's Mask any% took like 2 years. Good things take time. ;)

My guess is nobody wants to start TASing because the opening from the last TAS was really well made and they are affraid the new TAS won't be on par.
