Yes! Another Kirby's Adventure WIP! I was just thinking today that I hoped you would release another one soon.

The problem is that those two enemies will always attack and create to much lag.
I just tested that myself after reading this, since I never could get to those enemies before they hit me in real-time and wanted to see if it could be done. I couldn't get to them before they attacked either, no matter what flying or jumping pattern I used. I don't think it can be done, and I think you should continue on without it. I would enjoy seeing what that room looks like with the clip though, if you could provide a movie file or encode of that. I'm sure it's entertaining.

Sure. Link to video I also tested not to get the UFO glitch on the beetle fight, because I need to get rid of the UFO in the next level anyway, and it turned out level 3-2 can be finished earlier, but I already lose time when I enter 3-3. So the clip is slower. In the encode the UFO glitch isn't used.

That's too bad, because that clip is really cool-looking. It's not worth losing time for though. You are really optimizing this game though. I just watched 3-1 and 3-2 of JXQ's TAS and comparing it to your WIP is like comparing my 39.07 second "stone glitch" submission to the final 35.91 second publication. Just great work, and definitely looking forward to more.

Here's a WIP up to 3-4: User movie #16048999309112623 45.22 seconds ahead. I also improved the end of World 2 by 15 frame over the WIP I posted previously. World 3 is a lot nicer, up to now, when it comes to lag reduction, the screens are not that messy. The next two levels look hard, a lot of enemies there.

3-3 and the Meta Knights battle in 3-4 were awesome! Always nice to see progress from you. Looking forward to the World 3 boss battle!

3-5 and 3-6 looked so fast! (As they should.) I also liked seeing the cloud displacement trick and the vertical lasers at the end of 3-6; wasn't aware of those. Nice to see more progress!

By cloud displacement you mean the vertical boost when running towards a legde, right? In fact it can be used to despawn enemies, but only if the enemy would appear at the right distance to Kirby. The lasers reflect from the ground.

Yep, that's what I meant. Have you been able to despawn enemies with it so far? That sounds like it would definitely save time.

Yes, of course. Despawning enemies saves lag frames. Depending on how many enemies there are, is save more or less lag frames, sometimes it saves nothing.

Hey guys... its me again. I made a test movie for this game without using any abilities. It just stops until I enter the second room for the first level, its kinda short. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/17032031107779573

It is horrible. The game lags a lot and you definitely want to avoid this. Use this lua script to see the lag: http://pastebin.com/pT0hbSXN. 1. You can manipulate enemy behaviour with jumping 2. You want that no enemy uses laggy attacks 3. Jumping slows down 4. You can avoid bouncing off the enemy in front of the door A good optimized ability less TAS of Kirby would be insane, there are many factor to consider for lag reduction. This first room should have at least 5000 rerecords to do it optimal. I think that this game is a bit to hard for you, unless you just want to TAS this for fun. Here's a ability-less TAS btw.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQgA1af875Q

Here's a scientific prove that this project didn't die yet: Link to video Only 377628 rerecords so far. 50.75s faster. Slope clipping is slower again, by about one second. Getting UFO from the two enemies in the first room needs a whole cycle in the roulette.

Looks great! It's too bad about the slope clip being slower, but going through that castle tower is cool anyway. Poppy Bros. Srs. battle was unexpectedly fast!

Here's a WIP up to 4-4. Finally slope clipping is used. It's faster by 48 frames. 248 frames saved for the clippings, 104 lost in the next room over the published movie.

looks good, I tried avoiding head bonking by inhaling in 4-4 clip but it lags so much. My idea was slower sadly. Also, you forgot doing keeping ufo glitch :p Normally, you can't bring ufo to other stages. So yeah, it's not glitchless run.

Oh yeah, the UFO glitch. I wanted to do it on the last enemy. When I was at him I forgot it.

Hooray for slope clipping! That's the room I was hoping it would be useful in.

Here's a WIP with an improvement of 35 frames over my old WIP. However I lost 8 frames in the second last room of 4-2, but I think it should be possible to get rid of the loss. The improvements come only from better lag reduction, the first improvement was made in the 3rd room of 4-1, the biggest came from 3rd room of 4-2 with 31 frames.
