I don't think the time bonus will matter too much for a tas. Time left won't ever go under the customer's time left so you will always have the left over customer time and bonus time to pick up another customer. With the amount of time you had left over from those customers, I don't think running out of time will be an issue. If you get bad luck with traffic, you can just change the route and pick a different customer. I'm not sure Cable Car Stop Top can be optimized better because it would take a few seconds to stop without obstacles which is what it took to get out of that position. Might as well get the little fare bonus from dropping off the customer a few seconds earlier.

There are two ways to get time in the arcade mode. Time Bonus for fast deliveries. And from picking up customers. If you constantly drive fast and get good time bonuses, you can play, in theory, indefinably. Though, the passenger time limit will be a factor since it's at the highest difficulty level. On the video itself. The customer after Pizza Hut, you need to get closer to the passenger. Time is ticking even when your waiting for the fare to hop in. If you get close to hitting people, they scatter. Passengers will return to their circle if they get chased out. Though, that turn will require a Crazy Dash, into a hard right Crazy Drift. I am unsure if the angle is even possible at all with that van in the way. Church is next up (based on the right video) and the fares around the Church usually go to the heliport or Baseball stadium. The worst place (if you ask me) is the Amusement park. I hate that place. As always, keep up the good work.

I use the bike for everything else though because it's faster. In this mode, you don't have to worry about running out of time with the customer so after maxing the fare grab the next one. Trying to block traffic in real time is too difficult so I chose the heliport and camping village for my spots. With TAS, you might find closer spots granted you can block traffic and keep a combo going within that space without the customer bailing. I didn't have the patience last time I played but it could leave you enough time to drop off an additional passenger. My best score for Arcade rules is $718,049.15 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o6QoTnbvTI This is a whole other beast since you have to build enough time to execute a max fare drop. Where a customer goes unfortunately is not always the same. This is extremely critical as you don't want to waste any time searching for a different one because they aren't going the direction you want. The trouble with the Arcade map is completing laps around it as most customers prefer returning to the city. The flow is mainly counterclockwise so I found getting around as many times as possible essential for building up massive time. I didn't spend as much effort on the Original map. it's harder to go faster between customers here since it's not simple straights all the time so only $476,049.44. Link to video Still not happy with it. Crazy Dashing is getting easier to handle. I went back and tried to dodge more cars and doing the drift wall glitching to rack up the points. 3 customers and already ranked 21st (which is definitely correlated to how much money you have). Where I do a 360, it was either keep drifting more left and hit cars, or drift right onto the grass and go straight across, its faster to drift more right but doesnt look as cool as spinning lol.. may go back and change it solely because of not boosting earlier after the 360 spin (which is because i didnt let go off all buttons).

You do not want yellow time drops. You lose three seconds and since time is already at a premium with the 35 second limit, it's real bad.

You're right, I got to Church and only had 8 seconds. It is enough time to get to the next person but I'm thinking that I'd rather be speedy (green bonus) rather than more money yet. If I do it this way at least I can possibly accumulate time so that for the final customer i can do the above Crazy Reverse Drift to end the run. Redid a bit of the beginning, this time I move to the left side of the trolley getting me closer to my next customer. Also like someone at the beginning of the thread said. Different position when driving creates different scenarios. So when I hit an unpopulated road I'm gonna redo abit before it to make sure I'm almost always in heavy traffic generating more money from combos

1:06 behind the bus and then 1:12 felt really slow and looked unimpressive. :\ The tests higher up on the page looked incredible because you were constantly getting money pop-ups and driving at relatively high speeds. More of that insanity! :)

I finally played around with this myself, not very easy to build time in this mode! xD I think the best approach you can take is reach the Baseball Stadium asap. From there, just shuttle customers back and forth repeatedly from the city. Besides being able to complete these trips very quickly, you can amass huge combos on the freeway. These will more than offset the ones you initially collected slowly. With TAS, there should be enough time to throw down a combo at the Heliport to end it. You also need to stop so customers can simply jump into the cab, precious seconds are wasted! Does the bike have different physics? you look like you're going way faster on the bike than I do with the car. Also do you have a good estimation on the interval between crazy dashes? Link to video Much happier with this one.

solarplex, now that is driving. No real mistakes. I thought you did a crazy drift at the park (just past the Yacht harbor) but it's still damn impressive what you did. Three customers and rank 21. Don't stop running. Go for that WR.

Thanks! yeah i tried to do a crazy drift, but any more angle and I hit that (red?) car every time haha.. And yeah already rank 21! it seems combos/cash/ no crashes or some combination of those are calculated into ranking as you can see with Etch's crazy skill where he does max difficulty but only gains one rank at a time

To get the bike you need to beat all of Crazy Box. Though, I would love to see Crazy Box S-S done fast, I say stick with the Car.

I think Axel is "balanced" BD Joe is Drift, Gena is fast accell and Gus is high top speed.

Yes, you can accelerate and stop much quicker with the bike. Another important feature is how it behaves after executing a dash. As you shift back into drive, you momentarily have enhanced traction. If you try to take a tight corner with the car however its back end will drift out. When you want speed, it's the bike and that's why it primarily owns most crazy box records. With heavy traffic and the weird maneuvers you have to perform, the bike makes up for the time lost correcting with the car. As for dash intervals, you don't have to wait very long. Just look at how often I switch gears on the freeway. Of course you can't be a maniac in the city or where more traffic resides so it's better to pick your spots for turning purposes.

Ranking is purely based on how much money you earn. I'm playing off my saved file so the bike is accessible. I have to collect over $85,000.00 before I make my top 20, lol. Since I finished with $8,323.88, that meets your goal for the initial rank 1.

Since they all have the same bike, I never noticed a perceptual difference... A TAS with identical inputs will ultimately confirm this but the cars might be a different story. They differ noticeably in size but this might just be psychological. I'd test how they compare on Crazy Jump and Crazy Through. It should be quickly apparent if there is any advantage.

Link to video Probably will redo everything after 3:01 (when I jump off the ledge before I get to the Bus Parking Lot). There is definitely more combo to be made are the actual street there rather than in the parking lot where I am. Also the drive to the next customer after Baseball stadium was really slow due to no dash. But i decided to see what it would be like to get that 8k. didnt seem to take too long, but hopefully I can accumulate more time and then just have a grand stand off where I can make the rest of the money in one big lump sum to finish.

I think you missed a few crazy through… and your picking up of passengers doesn’t really look optimized, I’d think you should be next to them so that they only have to jump in like Etch said but otherwise it looks pretty nice

Absolutely right. I did go back a fix a lot of it by not going through the big parking lot. And I also figured out how to get closer to passengers without them freaking out by letting off the gas earlier

The Church drop off was perfect. It does abuse the engine a little but it keeps the "Going Fast" attitude. The fare heading for the baseball stadium, needs to picked up a little bit faster. Try and get closer. The drop off was perfect. I didn't expect you to find a "box" issue. Also in the WIP, there's a taxi that does a head-on collision with traffic as you head towards the stadium. You should try and focus on fast deliveries. While the combo at the police station is impressive, time does get lost.

Definitely, like i said, I wanted to redo everything after that taxi head-on collison, if you see I actually go in between the two cars! The combo at police station was just for fun. I lose out on the "Finish Box" issue but I do gain another 300$ in fare while getting much closer to the guy at the baseball stadium. Video up soon. Link to video
