Comments

This movie is 1106 frames faster than the previous (rejected) submission by lu9. This was mainly due to menu-ing optimizations as well as major path and movement optimizations. This run and the hardest difficulty run are vastly different due to the levels changing based on what difficulty you're playing on. The racing levels are perhaps the biggest changes between Easy and Hard, as there are different paths for each difficulty. The 10 collectables on each level are also placed in different places (some of them are really out of the way on hard mode). Overall, this run is nothing spectacular, but meets it's intended goal of Valut tier.

feos: Judging by the votes and the comments, many people don't find the easiest difficulty TAS satisfying, even for Vault. The same is expressed in the Guidelines. So even though this movie is way shorter than the existing one, the latter won't be obsoleted, due to feeling more of a record. And they can't be published alongside in Vault. Let this submission be referenced in the current movie's description. Rejecting.

Jump. Jump you little mouse. meows On the terms of "easiest difficulty" this can be accepted and be part of a new branch for this game. I will say it was more entertaining (for me) but still not enough for me to be completely entertained. Considering about 52% of time was taken off from hardest difficulty. Meh Vote. Towards Vault.

The Vault doesn't allow separate categories for difficulty. Also, for Vault, hardest difficulty is still preferred.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Well at least we have this TAS as a reference for future ones (if anyone makes another "Easiest Diff." on this game).

I don't see the point in easiest difficulty TASes. Aren't TASes supposed to show super-human skill? Beating the game on the hardest difficulties and making it look really easy? Playing on easy mode just seems counter-productive to that.

May I point you to the hard mode run? http://tasvideos.org/2576M.html

Well, this game sucks, and looking at the hard mode (which seems to show off more of the game due to different placement of items, not sure for better or worse) I found this run off worse since the easy setting makes some of the stages (first 2, for example) just jump right for justice.

This game doesn't look as bad in this run, with the better item positions and without all the awkward "trampoline" jumps. It's also quite a bit shorter, which makes it easier to watch without getting too bored. So I'll give this one a Meh.
