Compared to the completely underwhelming, even annoying, previous episode, this episode (Maud Pie) was a breath of fresh air. In fact, IMO it's one of the better episodes of the series by far.

Hah, for me it's vice versa. Because I'm a CMC fan I appreciated the previous episode* and I found the latest episode just weird and boring. Doesn't help that I hate Pinkie's antics/screaming/hyperactivity. I liked her way more in season 1.

For a moment I thought that "For Whom The Sweetie Belle Toils" would be cringeworthy or at least boring, but in the end I thought it was pretty sweet. Somehow especially Rarity's characterization felt perfect and endearing (much unlike her behavior eg. in "Sleepless In Ponyville".)
This Day Aria would sound awesome in Japanese. Also, what's taking Choco so long in the subs of MMMystery on the Friendship Express? Plus, the subs for Sisterhooves Social got blocked from Dailymotion, there's always 4shared.

Agreed. This was a great episode. While Luna was basically a plot device, it fit in pretty well.
This was a much better episode than Stalkerjack's.
