http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

I have to second these. I also have to add [2435] SGB Mega Man V by Noxxa in 40:03.09 as one of my favorite TASs of the year. [2493] SNES The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse by Dooty in 14:57.57 and [2317] SNES Kaizo Mario World 3 by ISM & Mister in 17:11.23 were also interesting. All in all though I have to say the best were Jetpack, just look how much effort went into the first version: Wiki: GameResources/DOS/Jetpack, and Mega Man V as being extremely entertaining and well executed.

Due to some complaints, I improved the first edition wiki module. Now it should sort by tiers, and vault is left out by default.

[2473] DOS Jetpack (1.5 freeware) in 32:22.54 by slamo [2430] PSX Warcraft II: The Dark Saga (USA) "Orc Campaign" by Flip in 1:32:52 ^^ Real-time strategy games must all have not at all trivial complexity. The Jetpack TAS was being peer-reviewed as it went along and has SUPERB documentation whatever that adds to its merits.

[2368] Windows VVVVVV by Masterjun in 13:30.25 There are some other good ones, that one just stands out to me.

Definitely have to go with [2411] GC Resident Evil 4 by SoulCal in 1:35:29.67 on this one.
My current project: Something mysterious (oooooh!) My username is all lower-case letters. Please get it right :(

My vote obviously goes to [2411] GC Resident Evil 4 (JPN) in 45:59.13 by SoulCal Umbreon [2464] GC Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut (USA) "Sonic" in 25:48.75 by THC98

[2314] N64 F-Zero X "Jack Cup, Time Trial" by Lord_Tom in 08:17.72 The only way to make this more impressive would be to make an "all cups" TAS
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

Most nominations, but losing the poll :(. As a shameless attempt to promote myself, I'd like to remind all that the Warcraft II run was practically the 1st edition to the entire RTS genre, not just to that one particular game.

Unfortunately many fail to see the brilliance of that TAS.

Well done numerics, and well done the encoders and judges who must have worked like Trojans to ensure that this was published just before the end of 2013. Just looking at the list of nominations, it's amazing how quickly TASing is growing as a whole. New frontiers are being pushed everywhere you look, across every console and every genre. It's also amazing to see how (apparently) optimised some of these TASes are, considering the authors had to start from scratch, with nothing to reference, and work everything out for themselves.
