Yo dawg, i herd you liked emulators so i put an emulator in your emulator, so you can emulate while you emulate.

This run uses a simple buffer overflow exploit. It uses a save file, which can be found here that has been edited to replace Epona's name with a short program. When Epona's name is read from the save file, the game crashes, and executes this program, which will load boot.dol from the wii's sd card. In this case, boot.dol is the wii port of snes9x, which can be found here. Once snes9x gx is loaded, i simply select Kirby's Avalanche, and hold right+L on controller 1, and left+R on controller two, which will instantly trigger the credits of Kirby's Avalanche.
NitroGenesis: Astounding. All the no votes prove the viewers love it. Accepting for publication. Changed game name, now this April Fool's submission can have dignity.
Nach: At the author's request, replacing the submission file with a faster one.
Nach: This is a well known exploit. Nothing technically is being done with TAS tools here. It's cute, but just demonstrating exploitation of a glitch on its own is not publish worthy. Rejecting.
It's not promoting piracy. He probably owns the game. He just hacked it.
Also, it's really great to see a Wii April Fool's Day submission. It'll be funny to see all the GameCube/Wii/Windows/TI-83 joke submissions next year.
The hacked save lets you load anything on to the wii, ie you can load pirated stuff. So telling people how to do it would effectively be telling them how to pirate a wii.

Well yes, that is possible. I don't see how that is promoting piracy though. Running code that hasn't been signed off by Nintendo is hardly illegal, or even unethical. It isn't my responsibility to hide any information that could potentially be used for illegal activities. Should i also not do any runs using dolphin, since someone could also use that to play pirated games?
By the same argument you are making, demonstrating the use of a sword is promoting murder. It's absurd, and i'd appreciate it if you didn't come to my submission thread to post such nonsense.
Just a note: I think the missing text in the ending message is from the texture cache not being accurate enough. You can fix that in Graphics settings under hacks (just set it all the way to Safe).

Except the glitch was squished with the 4.0 System Menu, so anybody that's upgraded to that point (or beyond) can't use it anyways, so it's useless knowledge.
