I love hip hop as an idea... I'm not a huge fan of a lot of it in practice, especially what goes on the radio. Sampling, street art is great. Selling cars and hating on women, homosexuality really turns me off.
I'm mostly in it for the beats but once in a while a rapper will blow my mind (for example, the link AngerFist shared at the beginning, Busta totally tore it down. Much respect.)
For those of you who think hip hop is for gangstas only, I will pretentiously reference the epic album "...Endtroducing" from DJ Shadow, one of the best DJ's of my time... hip-hop without rap :)
