Hello, guys this is Elder Yoshi, the administrator of this site. I'm a 13 year old genius named Aaron Meyers. My current interests are swimming, video games, and science. My dislikes are summer reading, random unneeded swearing, and shopping.

What, you've never seen a 13 year old braggart administrator before?:P

Oh, the desire to have one's own forum. I've been there before, in fact, I think I've been around the same age as you. Either way, best of luck with yo forum, though I think it's better to have a centralized recourse hub for this kind of thing, which tasvideos more or less is. Attempting to split up the community is high treason and will be punished by might not be the best idea in that case. Just sayin'

There are already two large dedicated communities to the topic you are trying to cover - SpeedDemosArchive and TASVideos. Additionally, these sites host the runs, have a large user base, have a large staff of volunteers, and etc. There is no major reason for people switch communities, or join a secondary one that serves the same purpose. So, don't feel discouraged when people don't sign-up for your site. You are trying to move against a massive tide of momentum. I'd suggest, if you'd like your own forum, to find a topic that isn't covered yet, that may interest people.
Sage advice from a friend of Jim: So put your tinfoil hat back in the closet, open your eyes to the truth, and realize that the government is in fact causing austismal cancer with it's 9/11 fluoride vaccinations of your water supply.

This made me try to think of something that nobody has ever tried. As a completely random (and ridiculous) idea the first thing that came to mind after thinking a bit was "speed knitting". You can imagine my surprise when I googled for those terms and discovered that it's an actual existing hobby. There are even youtube videos. There's nothing new under the sun, it seems.

Are video game competitions covered yet? Warp: I also looked up speed knitting. That's certainly something different.

Depends on what you mean, however: www.twingalaxies.com for score-based competition. www.speedrunslive.com for live competition of speedruns.

Knitting in general can be interesting. A history professor of mine suggested that, if I want to become a best-selling author, I should write "Knitting in Nazi Germany." He's probably right, too.

DarkKobold: I was thinking more of like sm64.org does with specialized tasks and points and what not. Brandon: I am repulsed, yet intrigued.

And it is that exact reaction that would sell millions of copies. Get to work on writing it!

I would but I suck at writing (not grammatically, just wording it correctly). I'm just not creative in the slightest. D:
