Hey everyone, You might be aware of the existence of 88 MPH, a french webcast about TAS made by RealMyop and CoeurDeVandale. As the show is french, many of you have stated their desire to have english subs in order to at least follow the comments made during the show. In the past days, RealMyop and I have been working hard to provide some episodes subs in order to give you a preview of what you can now expect to see on every 88 MPH episode: full english subs! Right now, only 3 episodes are subbed, but every other will be subbed in the next weeks (unless we both die of a sudden heart attack). As all episodes have been re-uploaded on YouTube, subs were incorporated on the online videos: Episode 11 - Donkey Kong Country Episode 12 - Zelda A Link to the Past Episode 23 - Monopoly Episode 27 - Alex Kidd in Miracle World Episode 31 - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Episode 32 - Brain Age Episode 37 - Mario 64 + Zelda Ocarina of Time part 3/4 More to come very soon ! Feel free to comment if you had any problem with the subs, or if you want more of them, or even if you want right here right now a specific episode.

Hey everyone, Rayas made a great work on the subtitles, so you MUST, yes you MUST give us some feedback or about the show, or the subtitles as you wish. The webcast has change quite a lot since the episodes you can watch now with subtitles. HD recording, better sound , better comment and so on. We'll be working on subtitling a newer episode soon, like that you'll be able to appreciate the new version of the show^^. See ya soon everyone!

Excellent work! I was made aware of this show a few weeks ago and have been hoping that someone would translate it. I don't have any specific episode requests, but I'm sure that I'll watch them all as they come out.

I like that you played the game of Monopoly for real to explain what happened. Could you guys reorder your playlist so that episode 1 is first?

The playlist is reverse because usually people are looking for the last episodes, I think it's better like that. We also forgot to say that we're looking for other french speakers to help us with the subtitles:-)

Yeah, the Monopoly one was my favorite... seeing it played on a real board was cool. Not that you could do that with a lot of games :) Though I remember having a horrible SMB board game when I was a kid The other two didn't add too much for me because I was pretty familiar with both of those runs. But they are definitely a great explanation for people who don't read the submission text. Hope to see more of these!

Agreed. Replicating the monopoly TAS on a real board was a marvelous idea.

A small thing, but at 4:37 in the Zelda video, the subtitles say "but there are no real evolution", which should be "but there is no real evolution". Immediately after that, "limited" is misspelled as "limitated". Aside from that, sweet webcast and the subtitles make them available to a lot larger audience. Keep it up.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, it has been corrected online. EDIT: Added Castlevania SotN episode in the OP. Feel free to tell us if you see typos (yes I'm aware for "gmae" and "are in SNK game").

First off, you guys have awesome beards :D Second, with the subtitles, I really enjoy seeing this show. You guys are pleasant to listen to (even though I speak no french), you provide some nice info on the game and TAS and you highlight great TASes that I might have forgotten about or find too boring to watch on their own these days. So, please make more episodes and subs!

Just watched the Monopoly one. Very cool that you replicated the scenario on the actual board game. One minor gripe, though: how come no mention of FractalFusion's four-CPU-bankrupting run?

Had a lot of work these past weeks, and got sick. DKC is coming next (almost done) and I'll try to work more on them in the next days.

Awesome! I'm planning on marathoning it once you're done. You might want to ask for a proofer. You mostly do a very good job, but there are times where word choice is off or you say things in ways that may be technically right, but feel awkward to native speakers.

Added episode 37: Mari 64 + Zelda Ocarina of Time, Part 3/4 to the OP. Many thanks to Issak for his retranscription work, if it goes on with this method, a lot of episodes are going to be subbed way faster than before.

Hey, there's still activity here. Thanks for the subtitles! Just in case, why not list all the unsubtitled videos as well? In a clearly marked second list with small size tags for good measure, perhaps? Those of us who are following this thread will see exactly what there is left to do this way. I may want to take another look at these at some point. If I do, I'll create a list of subtitles that bug me due to spelling, grammar, or whatever.
