DarkKobold: Claimed. Also removed branch, since this a TAS site, all runs fall under the TAS branch.

DarkKobold: Welcome, sirstarmagic. I think you misunderstand the intentions of this site. This site is to host the best TASes of individual games, therefore, as stated in the rules, it must beat all known records. This run does not. Please familiarize yourself with the way this site operates before submitting again. Thank you.
To the rest of the site: Users who do not understand how we operate will continue to come to the site, and from time to time there will be sub-par submissions. The good of the 3 day waiting period far outweighs the bad, and thus it is perfectly fine for legitimate runs like this to sit on the bench for 3 days. Plenty of users provided helpful feedback to sirstarmagic. However, negative commentary is not necessary, and makes this site look bad to all. Additionally, there is no need to remove a subpar run from the twitter feed.
Thank you.

I vote yes on what JXQ said. Ridicule isn't going to do anyone any good. As far as the run, I can't think of anything useful to say that hasn't already been said. Edit: That is, I agree with JXQ, and vote no on the run.

I'm confused. Why does it matter that he is new? This run is not at the level it needs to be for it to be published. That isn't an insult. I would love for him to keep trying and eventually beat the current run (though he might have better luck with another game. I don't recall there being much room for improvement left in this one), but this particular run does not accomplish that. It also ignores several other guidelines enforced on this site, as others have pointed out. I vote 'no' for those reasons. I hope he continues TASing and is able to have future runs published.

Sirstarmagic, have you read the guidelines? Even a better movie of Super Mario Bros has next to no chance of being accepted.

This is starting to remind me of the racism that was in the Majora's Mask thread.

Eh, you all need to relax a bit. Nothing criminal is going on. A newcomer didn't get what the site was about and hadn't had the patience to read the FAQ and rules. That's not a good thing, but remediable. Some other guys poked fun at it. Not a good thing either, of course, but it's not like there was no reason for such behavior. Now what a good thing would be is for both sides to come to their senses and become more considerate towards each other. Which is for sirstarmagic to stop being lazy and read up, and for others to stop making a laughing stock out of a bad first submission.

Actually, the only two offending posts have been removed. Everyone else has been rather polite.

I am curious as no one seems to have asked, why the arbitrary goals of small only and getting 97100+ points? Edit: I watched this run, and it's not good. Why did you die? It seems to be done oddly. You are not running for speed, but you did not really go for score either. What was the goal here?

You can't force an author to cancel a submission. If he or she rather wants to see it not to go down without a fight, that's their choice, I guess.

Eh, it wouldn't be all that funny as a prank. Nice idea though. DarkKobold: Very nice job with the way you phrased the judgment decision on this. Sirstarmagic: Good luck with your later runs! We have discussion forums here so that you can submit Works In Progress. This way, you obtain feedback before the whole run is done.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.
