A cool little game with really danceable music. It also suffers from L+R type of glitches which make Robocop double his speed and teleport by bumping into the screen limit too fast. I would estimate a TAS of this game would be 7-10 mins long, and mostly incomprehensible to look at. I was just wondering if anyone here has played this game, and knows for certain what is the difference between difficulty levels? From my quick test, Robocop and the enemies take the same amount of hits to die in both modes. The only difference I've yet noticed on "hard" is that Robocop starts with only 2 lives instead of 3... which is a shame because death abuse will come in handy during this run. EDIT: "hard" mode also seems to have more enemies. I'll try to make a WIP in a short while.

Woohoo, here's the speedrun of the first level of the game, utterly humiliated by glitches: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhk_sRH1HeY About the run: - in the police station, you must always examine four things to get to the actual level. Each prompts a rising message during which you can't do anything and it wastes a second. However, two rising messages can be skipped with frame precise timing. - holding multiple directions down at once allows, as mentioned, Robocop to move at double speed and exit screens way earlier than he is supposed to. If he ends up inside walls at the next screen, he can sometimes pass through them harmlessly... sometimes he gets stuck, though. And since you need to touch the outer rim of the screen when doing this, you also need some moving space for activating the glitch. - this game has 8 levels with varying objectives. In the first level, you are supposed to pick up two pieces of evidence, then go to the pier to watch a short scene. Not too bad... the level design allows some pretty radical warping around. Theory: - apparently, lives don't come back after getting through a level. Therefore death abuse can only be done two times total in the run before game over. I know at least one spot in which it will come really handy, but the other... gotta keep on eye open. - hopefully I don't have to do sections outside camera... there are some cases in which you can go outside the screen using L+R glitches, and even come out from the opposite side of the screen again. This is something that I haven't experimented that much yet.

*facepalm* How did I managed not to check there? Anyway, nice WIP, but the police-station part takes really, really long. I hope iyou don't end up spending more time between the levels then actually in them.

You got to do the same thing at the police station before each level except the last one, but it isn't that bad. I've continued this run and finished level 2 & 3. I re-did the second level three times and shaved about 130 frames from the first attempt. The third level on the other hand was very easy to figure out. Good and bad news. I've continued this TAS up to almost to the end of the fifth level, finding a badass death warp in the process which I don't quite know how to explain. Something about coordinates going wonky. The bad news is that now there is a section that is very tricky to manipulate, with two tight corridors that contain civilians slowing you down, not to mention you have to play most of it while outside the screen. Yes, my fears have turned into reality. I don't know how to proceed next... Guess I'll try how well these civilians can be manipulated while playing blindly. Later!

The part outside camera was not too bad after all. Now starting sixth level... New WIP Or an encode of levels 4 & 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgCY0z7S2pk The level 5 boss HP is strange. There may be some frame rule at play here? Depending on what you do, you may defeat him at varying amounts of bullets shot, but at the expense of time. This was the fastest variation I found after some testing. EDIT: Made sixth level. It was the longest and most difficult level to make so far, with a few asinine out-of-camera sections and also many NPC characters to block your path. I think seventh level might be a tough pickle as well, but the eight one I almost certainly know to have a short path to victory.
