amazing job guys, I'm loving it :)
just 2 paranoid questions:
1) didn't you guys start shooting on the midboss a little late?
2) was the water mermaid boss (sorry I can never remember names) invincible before you killed her, that's why you were a little far when shooting the last hit?

No, we didn't use the corner boost, but I don't think there have been much, if any places where it could be used save time, and even if so, it would at best save a frame or so.
It seems trying to shoot earlier would get the shots blocked by the spiked ball, or the shots would pointlessly hit the front cannon. (Rolanmen1 did that part, so I can't confirm)
Yes, she was invincible, and a little bit of distance allows me to get the shots and the fireball as close as possible to each other, so they hit fastest.

<adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Shots would be blocked by spiked ball.
I knew that part, but even after you went under it you took some time before shooting, the damaging the cannon part made sense of it, I didn't think it was unrelated to the midboss's HPs

3:58 that ladder climbing part didn't look optimized, but what do I know
4:44 shouldn't you have destroyed that from the right edge of the screen? can't spam pellets fast enough?
5:27 awesome mid boss battle :)

2:28 = We found out that NOT killing the enemies below change the luck manipulation for the boss, Moth tried doing it, but then we loose more frames than saved manipulating the boss by delying dialogue.
3:58 = It's optimized as far as i know.
4:44 = Effectively.

Actually, as far as I can recall, it was 5 frames for the aircraft miniboss.

I was just continuing my hard mode save on DS (still have to finish it) and found out you can double hit really quickly with HX's jump slash (not airdash slash), was that known and if not would it have been useful? you can double hit by pressing the opposing direction you're facing after the slash (maybe with quick left-right even more hits are possible?)
edit: wtf I just did it without moving the opposing direction O_o
looks to me like, the airslash is in itself a 2-hit combo, upper part and lower part, if you have an object above you and start the slash when you're below it then still gain height to be adjacent to it it double hits, first the upper then the lower part of the slash
edit2: another thing (still testing on DS) it seems like doors reset your speed to walking speed if you enter them with a ground dash, but if you do an airdash (HX) it looks like your dash speed is kept and you can even re-airdash after passing the door, was this abused?
