About the run
Well folks, here it is, TASVideos first Sextuple TAS :) After I had finished about a year ago the Quadruple TAS with my dear friend Baxter, I felt I needed to do this to satisfy my curiosity. I decided to finish only 1 stage in each game because obviously you cannot slide in Mega Man and Mega Man 2. Mega Man and Mega Man 2 are much shorter games compared to the others. Mega Man and Mega Man 2 are 15-20 minute runs while the others are around the 30-minute range. So by the time I've finished Mega Man 3-6, the viewers would see 2 blank screens for several minutes, which is in my opinion bad. Also, this run is meant to be demo run. My initial aim was to finish all 6 bosses at the same time/frame so that it looks entertaining. However, as I progressed I realized that that goal became more and more unrealistic. You could fool around a lot of time so that other Mega Mans can catch up but I felt wasting so many seconds to satisfy my initial goal was a bit too much if you ask me. So, I revised my goal and aimed to finish all games as close as possible at the same time. In order to fully understand what the heck is going on, do not focus your eyes on any game. Instead, try to watch the center of your monitor. When I did this, I somehow felt it was easier to follow the progress than the Quadruple run, you decide! Anyway, to replay this run, follow these steps:
Open 6 FCEU's (all versions from 0.98.16 to 0.98.27 should work), and align them.
Load the games and pause them all.
Enable Background Input (at config), if it was already enabled when FCEU started, disable it first, and enable it again (it will automatically enable Run In Background).
Load the same movie file at all FCEU's (note that it will only give a correct ROM checksum for one of the games so do not worry about it).
Unpause (with a hotkey... background input will make all games unpause at the same time) and enjoy!
Please visit the submission text of the quadruple run to get a lot useful information of how certain techniques were performed in this run.
I would like to thank Baxter for helping me setting up this run and most importantly, I would to thank... Myself! ^_^ O_o :)
Truncated: This is an interesting display of TASing skills, let's leave it at that. It is not so interesting to watch, according to the viewers. It has suffered the same criticism as the quad run, but with less of the good stuff.

Thank you so much ShinyDoofy.. I appreciate it a lot that someone took his spare time and is trying to encode the sound. By the way, here is the soundless video, encoded by DeHackEd (who else): http://files.filefront.com/megaman123456+sextupletastavi/;11389126;/fileinfo.html
If you could somehow merge perfectly the sound with this video, I would be forever grateful to you.
You're welcome.
Although I'm not really good at dubbing, I'll give it a try.
How'd you like the sound? All streams at the same time? Seperate sound streams per game? Would an mkv be ok?

Preferably all streams at the same time pretty please. That way, you dont have to create a .mkv file. I assume you dont have to touch the .avi? Becasue in my opinion, the bitrate is very good.

Thank you qFox and everyone for your opinions.
I dont want to sound greedy but how about making an avi and a mkv file? Reason why I prefer an avi file is because I want to view it on my dvd player, but Im gonna encode DeHackEd's video anyway to divx6 (so that my dvd player can play it) because he used H.264. But anyway, so its impossible to merge the sound and DeHackEd's perfectly to an avi without fiddling with the bitrate?
Edit: Even if it means you have to touch the bitrate, that doesnt have to necessarily mean that it will decrease?

Thank you very much! Here is what I found: the .mkv file worked perfectly but the .avi synched badly but also, it plays almost in slow motion.. Any idea why its doing that? My computer is decent.
That's really odd. They both work flawlessly for me with mplayer. What I noticed though was that with vlc the sound stutters like hell.
So I just redid the avi with ffmpeg instead of avidemux, this one works great on mplayer and vlc: http://files.filefront.com/meganewavi/;11399096;/fileinfo.html

Dont say that :) I'll take a look at it when I get home from work, Im sure its more than fine.
Edit: Finally got home and downloaded the new .avi, it was perfect! Thank you soooo much Shiny :)
It would be really great if someone could re-upload ShinyDoofy's or Bisqwit's encode (every link is dead).
Or if someone is willing to re-encode this sixtuple run...
I have one of the encodes hanging around (can't remember which). I suppose I can upload it to YouTube if nobody has any objections, or I could find somewhere else to put it if you want the original surround sound. I just need to know where I should upload it...
EDIT: Never mind, the audio track is mono. I guess I'll put it on YouTube. I believe the version I have is where the video was made by DeHackEd and the audio was dubbed by ShinyDoofy, so MM3 does not desync.
Here it is. It was scaled a bit smaller since original resolution does not exist for videos this small, but it's definitely watchable. I am going to keep this video unlisted for a few days in case there is an objection to this video being on YouTube or if somebody somehow devises an HD encode out of this. This video is public now.
I suggest you watch in 480p...

I was wondering if anyone still has this run as .mkv or mp4? Long story short, when my former computer died, all media files went with it :( I know I uploaded it once or twice before for Omegawatcher and someone else but those links appears to be d.e.a.d.! Damn, lots of deaths lately :P
The two versions I have (with and without the MM3 desync) are .avi's. I guess back then I was still hanging on to the .avi format, since .mkv was so new. If you want the .avi version that ShinyDoofy linked to two years ago (which is the same as the YouTube version) or the one that somebody else made that desynced, I can upload it somewhere for you.

Sorry for the bump, but I just wanted to say that even though MegaUpload is dead, I'm still around (but just lurking).
So if anybody still wanted the original video that I uploaded two posts ago, don't hesitate to ask.

Unreject anyone?

Why? It doesn't complete anything further than one stage in each of the game. I don't see any reason to unreject/accept a run that doesn't clear any of the games it goes through, especially considering each game has clearly defined win conditions.
