Sage advice from a friend of Jim: So put your tinfoil hat back in the closet, open your eyes to the truth, and realize that the government is in fact causing austismal cancer with it's 9/11 fluoride vaccinations of your water supply.
I don't think the ban will be temporary anymore...
It's a troll. Nothing to see here. Move along.

2: You're young and completely unaware of how inappropriate and embarrassing you're acting, without any regard or appreciation for the way things work around here. Please take a break from this site for about five years, then come back and try again.

We love a good redemption arc on TASVideos.

for an update: yes, i was 10 years old and playing around on my dad’s computer. perhaps not enough supervision.
i was very into watching the various TAS videos around one of my favorite games, so i brought my snot nose here without any basic understanding of how a TAS actually works, or how they’re actually made.
as of now, i’ve still been following the developments (silently) over the years. I’m 24, married, own a home, have a job as a software engineer, and this is still one of the most embarrassing things I’ve done using the power of the internet. i noticed when creating this account that there’s a check box to certify that you’re over 13. I can’t remember if that was there in 2009, but it made me laugh.
I currently RTA Super Mario 64 in private, not much for streaming and I don’t care to make a proper TAS of this game (any time soon) so rest assured there will be no more posts entering the Gruefood ring. I’ll likely continue lurking here, something I should’ve stuck to back then too.
To anyone who stuck up for me back then, I appreciate you, but I’m also really thankful for the criticism. Especially those of you who actively guided me to understand how things work around here (if you’re still active here)
anywho, I’m rambling, I thought it would be funny to reply to that message. not a troll, just an unsupervised 10 year old

Now this is a fun throwback. 14 years is a really long time.
I think we all have our embarrassing moments as children lol, some just happen to be preserved on the internet for longer.
Happy to hear you're doing well in life!

<dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects.
<Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits
<adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Welcome back! I can imagine remembering this from all those years ago was probably a bit odd at times. I was there when this happened and I remember these submissions all those years ago and it's clear things have changed since then. :) Congrats on the stability.
We talked it over in staff and agree that this does not qualify as ban evasion, for the record - more like ban redemption. Thanks for your bravery and honest assessment of your past self, and for the moments where you're feeling like doing more than lurking, know we're here to support you should you choose to take up TASing again. I suspect you'll go about it a lot differently this time. :)

Appreciate it! I knew staff here wasn’t unreasonable, I wasn’t too worried about the ban evasion factor coming into play due to there being a pretty clear difference in how a 10 year old and adult brain operate, haha.
Never say never. I’ve experimented with TASing a little for RTA route testing, but I’m perfectly content in watching developments from others. Been following TAS competitions and progress on the next 120 TAS, which is very exciting to me. I’m not sure I’d have the time to commit to making content fit for this site, but I’m excited to now be able to follow things here a little closer.
