During my brother and I's years of playing video games, we sometimes ended up making really stupid lyrics to video game music just because we heard it a lot. I was wondering if anybody here has done this? Here are some that we've created over the years. Kirby's Adventure: Nightmare's Theme "Fighting Dracula in outer space without a space suit oooooon, Fighting Dracula in outer space without a space suuuuit Fighting Dracula in outer space without a space suit oooooon, Fighting Dracula in outer space without a spaaaace suuuuit on! Fighting Dracula, in outer space, without a space suit on, fighting Dracula, Fighting Dracula, in outer space, without a space suit on, yes indeed we are fighting Dracula (Repeat) Donkey Kong Country mini game Victory song: "The Burger King's Kids Club is really really good, It's really really really really really really good!" Final Fantasy Victory theme: Tupilidee, I claim victory! (sometimes we have to make words up) Final Fantasy theme 2 Tupilidee, walk across the screen! (In a final Fantasy where they walked across the screen after a fight) Second part of Keapora's theme in Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time "This is the song of the stupid retarded owl talking too much, "This is the song of the stupid retarded owl talking too much, "This is the song of the stupid retarded owl talking too much, "This is the song of the stupid Fu**ing owl talking waaay too muuuch Elegy of Emptiness (Majora's Mask) "Theeeee song of wasting moooore tiiiime" Cloudy Park Stage 2 (Kirby's Dream Land 3) (I wrote this whole song) "Here we are we're standing in a very cloudy park, yes it's cloudy in the cloudy park because there are a lot, of clouds. Here we are we're standing in a very cloudy park, yes it's cloudy in the cloudy park because there are a whole lot, of clouds. Here we are we are standiiiing inside of a cloudy paaark, there are a lot of clouds heeere, therefore it's a cloudy paaark, We like to call it cloudyyy park cause there's lots of clouuuds, Here we are we're standing in a very cloudy park!" (repeat) Yup, pretty dumb stuff. But this stuff just comes up when you play a game too much. [EDIT by Bisqwit: This is clearly Off-topic material, so I'm moving it out from the General forum.]

I had one figured out to the starting music to super C, but I thought of that when I was 9, so it was constructed mostly of bad words and racial slurs.

You realize that you're gonna have to post mp3:s of you and your brother singing these songs now. ;) Seriously though, it sounds pretty funny, and that FF victory theme text is now stuck in my head...

I never wrote lyrics to instrumental songs, but I have been known to change existing lyrics. When it comes to instrumental music, my instinct is to come up with new arrangements, or to mix songs together. Unfortunately, I lost a couple hundred gigabytes worth of my musical compositions, so I have none of those to share. Not that my website is even up at the moment, as evidenced by my lack of avatar for the past month... One of my favorites was a remix of Chrono Trigger's Corridors of Time (a song every game remix artist has to do at least once) as inspired by Kamisama no Utagoe, of capsule fame. Not that I really expect many others to know of capsule, but hey. I rather miss that song...
Kirby said so, so it must be true. ( >'.')>

Zelda-Lost Woods Sa-ri-a Sa-ri-a Sa-ri-a the sage is so very cool She's no kid fool! Sa-ri-a Sa-ri-a Sa-ri-a the sage captured by the cruel ...dead phantom ghoul. (Kokiri remain looking like kids during their adult years, and Saria was captured in forest temple by Phantom Ganon. I ought to create some more verses at some point) Zelda-Bolero of Fire Fires burning in the darkness Volvagia's mean and heartless! (Bit link's arm and made him armless!) Fires burning Gorons squirming Link is learning Saving Hyrule Link thinks "I rule" On the lava pool...... (Kind of a mouthful, but tricky song to fit lyrics to)

I made this while on the ferry on my trip yesterday. It's fun to write lyrics seriously. Yoshi's Cookie SNES VS mode Music A Yoshi’s Cookie is a really fun game, In which you have to line up all those cookies, In a straight line, Horizontally or vertically, (or, vertically) Line up like cookies, To make them disappear, So you can clear the stage, (you cleared the stage) Checkerboards, circles, and diamond cookies, And occasionally a Yoshi cookie, When you line up, Enough of the same type of a cookie, (same, type of cookie) Yoshi cookies, Act as a wild card so, Be sure to use them well, Don’t, let those cookies, Reach the top or it, Is game over, for you, so, When, things get too fast, Try not to panic, Just use those Yoshi cookies! (verse 2) Scrambling up the opponent’s cookies, And covering up, the opponent’s play field, In two player, In the two player version of the game, (two, player version) It can get frustrating, But that is how things, Go in Yoshi’s Cookie (Yoshi’s Cookie) Ten levels in the game each with ten rounds, With each one getting increasingly harder, By speeding up, And adding more cookies to the play field, (more, to the play field) If you should lose, don’t get upset about it, cheer up and try again, Things, can get hectic, When you can’t find the, Type of cookie, you need, so When, things get too fast, Try not to panic, Just use those Yoshi cookies!

Yeah, I do this sometimes. Imagine 'Arm' and 'CORE' are full choirs. "Brutal Battle" - Total Annihilation (In each case, the most prominent instrument carries the song)
CORE You shall become gods! Cast off your bodies.
Arm We would rather die; cease your 'patterning'.
CORECom "Core decrees the process mandatory for all citizens"

Arm Atrocity!
ArmCom You are arrogant, your time is coming, abomination.
All War! War! War! WAR!

CORE Science is the path, no ethics will stay.
Arm Mind has overcome, heart has lost its way.
CORECom You cannot restrict infinity; it is worth any cost.

Arm Foolishness!
ArmCom Fervour leads astray, this is not for man, we will stop this farce!
All War! War! War! WAR!

(Chant) Stoke the furnace! Feed the fire! Build the army, clone the body.
CORECom Why deny our ge-ni-us?
ArmCom You have gone too far, now!

(Chant) Seize the planet, take the system. Push the bound'ries!
CORECom Do you hope for vic-to-ry?
ArmCom Success will be...
BothCom ...your annihilation!
That's only the first part before the song gets slow. This tells the first half of the plot from the manual. I hope you enjoy. :)

Hah, yes, I have done this before. I'm bad at remembering all the lyrics I've made. Castlevania 2 - Bloody Tears <After the intro part's over...> Zombie nights, all those restless nights with those zombie fights, all the heartache, heartbreak Zombie nights, all those sleepless nights break the holy lights, in the moonlight, noonlight Day time, play time, fray time, time is slowly ticking down Light of day, goes away, turns into demon's play.

I used to have lyrics for most of FF1's battle theme (hey, the brain needs to entertain itself during mind numbing exercises). Unfortunately, I can only remember the first line to it. :( It was after the famous bassline intro. We meet again, and we're fighting in a place Where the universe is made unsafe. Repeat once more.
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

I've written love song lyrics to both the Dr. Mario theme and Mario's Time Machine's surfing theme, and hoedown lyrics to Super Mario 64's slide theme. Oh! And a theme song for the Cheetahmen.

Wow! You've done a lot! I have lyrics to the Imakuni theme from Pokemon Trading Card Game, but I haven't typed them up yet. It's really awesome if you ask me. Oh, and if you liked the Penelope song, you may be interested in the visuals I'm working on for the song. You can see bits and pieces of my progress here. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=89064 My name is VBKirby there. I try to use the same avatar everywhere to avoid confusion.

My brother liked to sing along to the song in the scenes in Jet Force Gemini where your ship lands somewhere. I think it goes like "Whoop dee doo! This is dumb! You are bor-...... ing-me-out-of-my-skull, huhuhull, huhuhull, huhuhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhull! (Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum...)" Okay, so it sort of breaks down after "You are boring". He would also change it to "You are boring me out of my brains!"

Okay, so the last line of each verse is sung a little differently than the actual song. I always sang it like this, so I didn't know it was wrong. Try your best to figure out how I sing it. I always liked to think Imakuni is a pompous git, so that's how I made him in the song. Several lines in this are quotes from the actual game, like super musical star, that's pretty cool, I should be a poet, you won't duel me? don't be so cruel, let's sing the pokerap, and so on. Sung to Imakuni’s Theme from Pokemon Trading Card Game Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) I’m Imakuni, Don’t you think I’m the hippest guy in town? (Imakuni) I’m Imakuni, Let’s sing the Pokerap, come on get down! (Imakuni) People think I’m strange, They all like to say I dress like a clown, (Imakuni) Take a second look, You’ll find that I’m the coolest guy around!, (Imakuni) Take a look at me, I am just the best, Don’t make fun of me, or my awesome vest, I, am, so, great, and you are a pest. Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) When you duel me, You are going to get beaten and bruised, (Imakuni) Just to make things fair, I will make my own Pokemon confused! (Imakuni) I win duels so fast, I’ve got cards in my deck I’ve never used, (Imakuni) And when I beat you, I will make you dance to keep me amused! (Imakuni) Just like a springs wind, you’re gonna blow it, Hey that’s pretty cool, I’ll be a poet, You’re, going, to, lose and you know it, Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Don’t Know who I am? The planet you’re from must be pretty far, (Imakuni) I’m Imakuni, The number one super musical star! (Imakuni) I’ve seen how you dance, Let me tell you that it’s pretty bizarre, (Imakuni) Practice for ten years, And you might just make it up to sub-par! (Imakuni) You won’t duel me? Hey don’t be so cruel, Though I understand, cause I’ll overrule, You, think, you’ll, win, don’t be such a fool, Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii)

Have you ever made lyrics to game music? No, in fact that's one quality of VG music that I like: it's lyricless.

That's something I like about it too, but you have to admit that it's more than tempting to make some.

I remember me and Shinryuu found that song (Okkusenman) and another one called Airman ga Taosenai which has to do with the singer (name?) having trouble crossing the pit at Heat Man, trying to get Item 2, failing to beat Air Man, and then trying and failing at Wood Man. Now that I think of it, there's an Okkusenman video out there somewhere with Shinryuu credited in the end for some wierd reason...
