In all fairness, I've never made a bad Friday the 13th video. Phil's probably referring to Snaily's run.
My startegy's a little different from his. He fought a lot of battles which were not 'worth it'. Like 4 grwolves and a wolf. You'd be better off saving yourself for ogres. The fights I fought were only to get myself to 1,400 gp, so I could get the 2,600 gp from Astos and the Wizards to give me 4,000. Which I will use to purchase Fast.
What the movie ends on is me getting sneak attacked by some ogres. Which I wouldn't mind, except one of my fighters died, and he needs to be a meat sheild for Astos, damnit. Now, there are 2 ways I can avoid this. One would be to redo the geist fight before the ogre fight a little differently and hope the ogre battle is either with different enemeis, or not an 'enemy strikes first' situation (which I did for the 3 scorpion (or whatever) fight right after getting the crown). The other is to change the order of the party so someone with more hps takes the hits (which I did for the 3 bones, 1 crawl fight). Either way, I'll do it later.
My only really big dilemma is whether to do the castle of ordeals or not. It's not a particulary long level, and it'd let me equip... well, a lot of good stuff, after getting my characters promoted. Also, the zombie dragons square is a great place to level up quickly, which would save me a lot of headaches. It would also let me get Warp, which would get me out of the Waterfall and floor 5 of the Sea Shrine, and give me the zeus gauntlet and heal staff, giving the black mage something to do besides being a Fast whore until the Sea shrine.
But I don't know if it'd be faster or not... sailing there and back (or flying) + the 3 floors of ordeals + the walk to bahamut is comparable to the 1 floor walking back through the waterfall and the 2 floors walking back through the sea shrine. And, there are other places that are good for some quick levels, (The agama squares in Gurgu Volcano come to mind). And, theoretically, the lack of Excalibur, Opal gear, etc, can be offset by luck manipulation. Besides, as far as I know, Bane (thanks to the bane sword) works on any enemy. Including Chaos. Albeit, rarely.
Anyway,
here's the movie. It's made on famtasia. Sorry, Phil. There are a few small things that stick out... to me, anyway. Like buying the staff for the black mage. Waste of 5 bucks and a few frames. But I'm only considering this a test movie.[/url]
